It's not that hard. Really. But before you start looking into all the great blogs, apps and books on 12 lead ECG's, heart blocks, axis deviations and STEMI's oh my. You must, I mean "must" have a solid understanding of the basics. Even if you have been out of paramedic class for a while, going back to the basics is often a great way to get a better handle on all that advanced EKG understanding. Sort of a way to replace your internal EKG brain paper. Now I don't know if you have seen this before, but over at the main site I have the perfect online based EKG Study Resource that will have you mastering all the basics of reading EKGs and more. This resource gives you the tools to master the basics as well as all those great EKG strips like, heart blocks, arrhythmias, tachycardia's and more. Read about it here. Trust me on this one. Once you have mastered this resource, you will be so ready for 12 lead training that it will be a breeze to take on all that STEMI, deviation, LBBB, RBBB and all those other fancy terms.
