JOHN THORPE WINS BIG
THIS PAST WEEKEND!!  John Thorpe traveled up to Vermont this past
in what should have been a tough battle against
a seasoned opponent. Master Mike had initially
passed on this fight, for fear that John's opponent
had too much experience in Thai Boxing and MMA
for John to handle. But with no other opponent
available, Master Mike eventually gave in, despite
his apprehension. John wanted to prove himself
in front of his hometown crowd and did not disappoint!
John came out on fire and never backed off....his
opponent was able to cover and protect for only
about 30 seconds before John caught him in the
sweet spot of his chin and he dropped like a rock.
Knocked down, but not unconscious, John proceeded
to ground and pound and only 45 seconds into the
first round, the Ref finally called a TKO. It was
a great night and John made his team proud:)

EVOLVE Academy is
proud to be teaming up
with One Warm Coat in
order to collect gently
used and new coats and
other seasonal items!!
 Between now and December 31st, Evolve Academy
will be collecting new and gently used coats, hats,
gloves and other seasonal clothing. With another
cold, snowy winter expected, we hope to help
those in the greatest need. We should have a
One Warm Coat donation box at the school within the
next 2 weeks, but will be accepting coats immediately.
Once collected, we will be passing along these items
to a nonprofit organization in our community, who
will distribute as needed. For more information on

Need This Winter!!
 Nourish Now works to alleviate food
insecurity in Montgomery County,
MD and beyond by reducing the
waste of unused fresh food. Nourish
Now
has forged relationships with
restaurants, caterers, and other
licensed
food providers in order to
secure donations of surplus food.
Our team
collects, repackages and
distributes donated food to families,
at-risk youth and other organizations
that assist in feeding those in need.
You can help!! Evolve Academy
will be keeping a collection box at
the Academy between now and the
Christmas Holiday. We are collecting
canned goods, boxed goods and
other food items. Let's come together
as a family to help those who
are less fortunate than ourselves!

PARENT'S NIGHT
and BULLY BUSTING
SEMINAR!!
 On Friday, December 19th from 6:30-9:30pm, we will be holding a
Parent's Night Out!! Parents, it's your
opportunity to catch up on that
Holiday shopping without "junior" in
tow or to steal away a little holiday
cheer with your loved one;)
 For only $15 per child we will be
running a Bully Busting Seminar,
serving pizza and having a nerf
gun war!!! You can't beat this $5/hr
pricing and will have peace of mind
knowing that your child is having
a blast and learning practical life
skills while you get that well deserved
break that you've been desiring!!  Friends of Evolve Academy students
are welcome to attend! Please
