September 16th FULL MOON LETTER

September 16th 2016

Dear fellow Star-Gazers

Happy Harvest Moon!

As you probably know, this  is also a lunar eclipse – and a special one at that. Already there is the remarkable spectacle of that Moon-balloon creating havoc in China having slipped its moorings – cosmic art indeed!

This eclipse is closely aligned with Chiron: suggesting a major ‘auditing moment’. This might not be a comfortable time for the markets – though any real problems are more likely at the next Full Moon (October 16th). See later in this letter.

For now, a quick catch up: Since the global financial crisis (2008), every single year since then as Venus made Libra ingress, markets have fallen. 2016 did not provide an exception to the rule. I had singled out 24th and 25th August as important for equities, for silver and for politics. Those 3 days did indeed see negative moves (the S&P losing), a sharp upward move in silver on August 25th and more Trump/Clinton hassles (a near daily occurrence I know but this one topping even the UK news).

I thought too that September 2nd would be important for currencies: sharp moves between the Euro and US dollar took place. I expect repeats at this Full Moon/eclipse and later in the month on 26th. (Please note that in these letters I cannot give trading advice or be more specific. Trading clients though are aware of my thoughts and have more detailed information).

TURBULENCE

You may recall that Uranus and Pluto have been at apparent right-angle. Though they are now separating, they form part of an important planetary picture on October 14th – just two days ahead of the next Full Moon which itself is aligned with Uranus (shocks) and is perigee (closest to earth in its cycle). The reason that this is SO important is that the planet making up the other part of this planetary picture is Jupiter (yes, the one with the thunderbolts and storms).

Of course this could manifest as terror attacks and general mayhem: it’s as likely though that certain people (specifically the CEOs of some companies) will truly take charge and come up with plans that are at once innovative and exciting.
It could be that an announcement re Brexit is made (though I’m more inclined to think next March is important). Perhaps though some statement about triggering Article 50 will be made on October 14th. (If that happens, that would explain sharp moves in markets of course).

It is perhaps not coincidence that the International Society of Astrological Research (ISAR) is holding its conference in Costa Mesa, California over those few days. Though this main focus on this conference (where I am on the International panel) is on forecasting the outcome of the US election, I can’t help but wonder if by-products of this key event will be quite unexpected launching astrological research into a new phase. www.isarastrology.org

US ELECTION

I haven’t yet shifted from my view that the Democrats will win or that Donald Trump is facing major financial difficulties (if he were a client I’d wonder about bankruptcy). I wonder too if developments around the October Full Moon will have major effect on his campaign.

In a (much) earlier letter I wondered if Hillary Clinton would not be the Democrat candidate. I thought she might have to pull out for health reasons. Whilst recent news may have been down to something relatively minor, I do still wonder if she will become President: it doesn’t look ‘right’ for the inauguration in January 2017. True, Saturn (planet of responsibility) using Solar Arcs, is moving on to her natal Sun position but I’m not sure that this will bring her the Presidency. Since I am not, as yet, comfortable with that forecast, I am now perusing the charts of other possible contenders and will declare my findings at the conference in October.

GOLD
Jupiter moved into Libra last Friday (September 9th) and the GLD index showed sharp, sharp movement (to the downside). This is unlikely to be its last major move in September – there could be more this weekend (though today’s lunar eclipse could be more significant for silver). It’s probable too that next Friday (23rd) will also see sharp moves. You may recall another dramatic weekend in gold prices: April 12-15 2013 when the price moved quickly on both a Friday and the following Monday. September 23rd – 26th might not bring a replay but could still see significant activity. Another key date between today’s lunar eclipse and the next Full Moon (for gold anyway) is October 5th which could bring a relative high
.
OIL
A major low in the oil price took place in January 2009 at a Sun –Jupiter conjunction in one of the Air signs (Aquarius). This planet cycle often brings turning points in this commodity suggesting that Monday September 26th might see another turning point. This one could be particularly dramatic as it coincides with a key phase in another planetary cycle and with Pluto’s direct station.

WEATHER AND ‘NATURAL’ DISASTERS
The Sun continues to behave ‘abnormally’ which, as I explained in my Carter Memorial Lecture may have much to do with where we are travelling through space. (The full text of this lecture will be published in a few weeks after it’s been delivered to the Astrological lodge of London on October 10th.) As explained in that lecture, solar magnetism is having considerable effect on the planets and Earth. Increased storms are likely across the world. Rather more problematic is the potential for volcanic eruption (perhaps in the days leading into the October Full Moon).

NEW MOON
The next New Moon is on October 1st (Theresa May’s birthday and China!) and is on one of the critical and high-powered degrees of the zodiac. Already there are signs of a new relationship developing between the UK and China. Perhaps there is more to come.

I learnt yesterday that my new book will be available on Amazon from that date too. The other book is moving rapidly to the launch pad – hopefully reaching that stage soon after Mercury stations at the Equinox next Friday. Given today’s eclipse and Mercury’s retrograde position I won’t give you more information about either just yet – more in the next newsletter.

For now,

Hoping that Jupiter’s transit of Libra brings you warmth and friendship.

Yours from the Stars

Christeen
