Dear Fellow Star-Gazers,

Happy Blue Full Moon!

WEIRD TIMES:

Yes, this is the second Full Moon taking place with the Sun (and Mercury for the next few days)  in Gemini – where Venus recently appeared as an Evening Star. The Moon is on the other side of the zodiac, in Sagittarius where Saturn is transiting. You could view this as a planetary tug-of-war. (If you or friends are born under these signs,  that might go some way toward explaining developments and, for some,  tough choices). Back here on Earth, divisions are strikingly apparent: in the UK by way of the Brexit campaign and in the US via Trump v Clinton.

Those conversant with astrology will find no difficulty in correlating these events with present planetary pictures. However, it is worthwhile considering solar activity and other developments in the cosmos. The number of sunspots is diminishing. Another key factor is that Earth’s magnetic field is apparently weakening faster than forecast. This must surely have effect on humankind: and perhaps as a result of this, our physical and psychic systems are weakening, leaving us more prone to disease and perhaps contributing to discontinuity and upset.

BREXIT:

It will surely come as no surprise to learn that astrologers across the world are divided as to the outcome. Different techniques yield different results and, obviously, there is a 50-50 chance of getting it ‘right’. My own view is that the UK will remain in. (If you are interested,see my article here on the updated website). My reasoning is, in part, due to analysis of the long-term Neptune-Pluto cycle (which began in 1891).

LOOKING AHEAD

Brexit is however a major distraction. As many of you will know, I am very concerned indeed about the period February through May 2017 when Saturn, as it did in 1929, 1958  and in 1987 crosses the Galactic Centre. Most are familiar with the losses incurred in 1929 and 1987. Between July 1957 and April 1958, the Dow Jones Index fell 15%. Saturn's passage over the Galactic Centre in 2017 coincides with Pluto’s alignment with a Black Hole. Throughout the 20^th Century, alignments with this zodiacal area have coincided with dramatic falls on stock markets across the world.

MARKETS

True, between now and February, markets could experience surges. Yet there are some treacherous dates ahead – though not before the next Full Moon. Indeed, the coming weeks could see a sharp rally as Jupiter aligns with the lunar node whilst also moving to positive phase with Pluto before the end of June. Markets are, of course, reflections of human behaviour. As was eloquently explained at the recent London Student Conference, reaction to the recent Uranus-Pluto square is still apparent. At so many levels the world is no longer what it once was with shocks, surprises, terrors and emotional ambushes occurring with frequency.

USA

On July 7^th, the Sun and Mercury appear at one end of the zodiac with Pluto at the other whilst Venus and Uranus are in square formation. This could be yet another ‘shocking’ day: most probably obvious in the political arena. Power struggles amongst the ‘elite’ are likely.

The planetary configurations that day may be of particular significance in the USA. I am not quite ready to write a piece on that forthcoming election – mostly because I do not YET see it as a choice between Trump and Clinton. I will write this article for the website for July 4^th.

GOLD AND SILVER

I anticipate some upward movement in the price of silver in August and have been looking at possible ‘buy’ dates between now and then. The days leading into the next Full Moon (July 19^th) could yet prove optimum – though this does need to be checked against technical analysis.

Gold is, for me, a hold for the next couple of years. I am not sure about its role from 2023 but between now and then its value could soar – though probably not between now and the next Full Moon!

CURRENCIES

If you have heard me speak at any event in the last couple of years then you will know that I am of the opinion that we are set to see a revolution in this important financial arena. Though this could take the better part of a decade to be realised, along the way the value of gold could soar (temporarily) whilst some currencies fall by the way side to be replaced by ……? This is the really big question. Digital currencies are sure to make their mark whilst experiencing considerable volatility, death and resurrection as Pluto moves through Aquarius (2024 – 2040). No easy answers here and the question of which currency to invest in may be the wrong question anyway. Be assured that I am giving this considerable thought and slowly gathering charts.
