                        Brook Noel can relate! In this 2 week course, Brook
                        shares the system she used to declutter and organize
                        both clothing and cosmetics so they were a source of
                        fulfillment instead of frustration.
In this class you will:


Work through all the clothes in your closet
                                to uncover your personal style
Create "master outfits" for all-occassions
                                (work, recreation, home, etc.)
Learn how to decide once and for all if
                                something is worth keeping
Learn how to shop smart, where to get the
                                best deals, and what fabrics have the longest
                                wear
Streamline your cosmetics into "looks"
                                (evening/day/warm/cool)

Class Summary:
Week One: In our first week together we
                        begin by working through all the items in our closet and
                        placing them into one of Brook's "From Fiasco to
                        Fashion" categories. While working through this process
                        we will also cover timeless fashion, how to uncover your
                        personal style, and shopping secrets.
Week Two: This week we inventory our
                        clothes into master outfits. By week's end each clothing
                        item will either have a home as part of a "favorite"
                        outfit, or be inventoried as something that needs a
                        companion (a skirt that needs a matching shirt) or be
                        ready for donation. We also work through our cosmetics
                        this week, purging the outdated and out-of-fashion and
                        creating "looks" with the rest.

Good morning!  
How much
                            time and energy do you spend trying to attain
                            something, whether emotionally or physically, which
                            you believe you need in order to be happier, more
                            fulfilled or make life easier? Common examples of
                            where we get caught up in the chase include:
 
Believing
                            we need someone's approval 

                             
Believing
                            the next planner will organize our lives (instead
                            of organizing it ourselves) 

                             
Believing
                            that some better-than-botox cream will make us
                            beautiful 

                             
Believing
                            that our child needs a specific brand item or toy to
                            be happy 

                             
Believing
                            that we are responsible for fixing problems beyond
                            our control

                             
Believing
                            that we are responsible for someone else's happiness

                             
If I were
                            to stockpile all the time and energy I have put into
                            endeavors like these in the past, surely I could
                            take the month of April off -- and maybe May, too.
                            How freeing it can be to realize that maybe we don't
                            need everything we think we do--instead, what we
                            need to do is scale back on perceived needs.

                        Good morning! We all have days that test our ability to
                        remain upbeat and positive. We all have days where it
                        seems every little thing is out to wear us down. Often
                        these days come after several days or weeks of up
                        time, where we are creating the life we desire.

                        Some people view these days as the world saying, I told
                        you so. They use these days as an excuse to let their
                        dreams and hopes go.

                        I think these days come for a different reason. I think
                        these days are a great opportunity to improve ourselves.
                        While I used to get down on these days too, I had to
                        learn to treat them with the same respect that I did the
                        good days. Surely, these days much have a purpose.
                        When I approached these days with that attitude, I
                        quickly uncovered their purpose.

                        These days don't intend to bring a dark cloud to live at
                        our doorstep. These days come to challenge us to see
                        something new-- to remember how to laugh-- to remember
                        what is good. These days ground us and challenge us to
                        explore our core values for the simple and delightful
                        daily rewards of life. 

                        The path of life is never smooth. These cloudy days
                        will come and go. We can't hide from these days and
                        wait for a better one. There simply isn't enough time
                        in life to waste a single day. 

                        Your turn:
                        When a cloudy day comes your way, embrace it. Use it
                        as a catalyst to find something to laugh about or
                        someone to laugh with. Turn back to life's simple joys--
                        a child's smile, a phone call, a serene walk. While what
                        is going on externally can be sunny or cloudy, we
                        control whether our reaction will be sunny or cloudy.

                        talked to you like you sometimes talk to yourself, would

Good morning! As Debbie noted when she sent the
                        quote, this is something we cover in-depth in the
                        attitude class. A quick question for you this
                        morning....

                        On a scale of 1 to 10... How would you rate yourself on
                        this statement... I am a good friend. Most of us rate
                        ourselves high, we pride ourselves on being reliable and
                        supportive.

                        Next question, on a scale of to 10, how would rate
                        yourself on this statement, I am a good friend to
                        myself.

                        Many of us stumble on question two. We demand things of
                        ourselves that we would not demand of others. We
                        criticize ourselves with harsh words that we would never
                        say to a friend. While we forgive our friends
                        shortcomings, we belittle ourselves for our
                        shortcomings. We build friends up, we knock ourselves
                        down.

                        How wonderfully our loves would change if we would treat
                        ourselves with the same kindness, thoughtfulness,
                        encouragement and forgiveness we show our friends.

                        Your turn:
                        Today, each time you have a thought directed toward
                        yourself, ask-- is this a thought I would share with a
                        friend in the same situation? If the answer is no,
                        replace it with the type of kindness and encouragement
                        you would show a friend. When we learn to be a better
                        friend to ourselves, we in turn become a better friend
                        to others.

                        I treat myself with kindness, respect and encouragement

Sometimes you have to
                        take the leap, and build your wings on the way down.

                        Good morning! Have you ever had a hunch about
                        something? You know, that gut feeling that has words or
                        an action on the tip of your tongue, but you squelch
                        it? Then days, weeks or months go by - and you realize
                        the intuition you ignored was right? Maybe you had a
                        reason to ignore it. Maybe everyone else disagreed with
                        you and you couldn't find one fan of your idea or
                        action. Maybe self-doubt got in the way - or fear - or
                        anxiety. Whatever the reason, you ignored the hunch only
                        to learn later, that hunch was there for good reason.

                        Maybe the only thing more frustrating than not knowing
                        an answer, is realizing we knew the answer, but didn't
                        act on it. For whatever reason, we didn't listen to
                        intuition's whisper. 

                        Kobi's quote reminds me that intuition always has a
                        purpose, though sometimes we can't see it. But these
                        heart messages should be heeded and well considered.
                        Even without support, sometimes we have to Take the
                        leap and build our wings on the way down. 

                        Your Turn: 
                        Is there anything in your life right now where you have
                        that gut instinct about what to do next? Take a moment
                        today and honor that intuition. Listen to it; don't
                        squelch it. These moments of intuition are blessings
                        about the directions we need to take in our lives.
