Over 95% of the rare and antique Biblical materials in our inventory are English language editions. This is because the vast majority of our customers only buy English editions. However, for the more sophisticated Biblical collector, the small minority of Non-English material we have is the carefully selected "cream of the crop"... only the most desirable Greek, Hebrew, Latin, German, and French
editions.
The Reformation was much bigger than England. The New Testament had to be printed in the original Biblical Greek before it could be translated accurately into English. And Latin was not limited to "corrupted Catholic" editions: many scholars found the few good Non-Catholic (accurate) Latin
editions, such as those of Calvin's associate, Beza, helpful in aiding their understanding when translating the Word into English. Calvin was French, and so are some of his Geneva Bibles. The early epicenter of the Reformation was Germany and Martin Luther's Bibles and books were all in German. The first European language Bibles printed
in America more than two centuries later were still not in English, but in German.
Today, we have selected these few most highly sought after Non-English Biblical editions, and made them available at discounted prices for those who appreciate their importance.
Take a moment to click below and quickly review these foundational European language treasures, which can really set apart and elevate your collection as being "World Class". More than one of them being offered today is priced well under $1,000... it's worth a look:
