More Handmade Business Bites
Hey,
I hope you are loving every minute of your life:)
I have two business bites for you today.
The first is mindset related. I'm feeling a bit philosophical today so I hope you'll indulge me.
Immediate Right Mindset Transformation?
Right mindset is arguably the most important essential for making your business as successful as possible. Without it you can't take the right actions and your choices and decisions will be less than optimum.
I have to admit I've been in a bit of a funk for a couple weeks and it has definitely affected my productivity. I've been battling a cold so that has something to do with it, but I know most of it is in my mind.
It's so weird when that "down and tired" feeling happens isn't it? One day is no different than the one before, and nothing has changed, but all of a sudden you just feel... well... tired. Lethargic. Purposeless.
When I feel like this, I start wondering what lesson I need to learn or what I need to change.
It got me thinking. Now that Handmade Results Weekly is reopened again and I don't feel as much pressure, instead of feeling happy and relieved, I feel a bit dissatisfied.
Strangley, that led me think that feeling dissatisfied is a good thing.
The worst thing in the world is to be "comfortable". Being comfortable makes you complacent.
I for one do not do well when I'm comfortable. It makes me lazy. I need pressure to get me moving.
Some say we are mostly motivated to seek pleasure and to avoid pain.
I think avoidance of pain is a stronger motivator for me. Maybe these uncomfortable feelings are telling me I need to do some goal setting and re-evaluate. I started doing that, and I'm starting to feel better :)
I guess my long-winded dialogue here just comes down to the fact that clarifying and goal setting on paper helps get rid of that"let down" feeling.
As I right this I'm starting to get tired again though.

Maybe we can put together a fun list of ways to get the juices flowing because I know I'm not the only one who doesn't have get up and go from time to time!

New Market Research Video
Talking of feeling motivated, I made this video yesterday because I had a coaching client who needed help with focusing her business to become more profitable.
Helping her out definitely motivated me. (Although it also meant I procrastinated a different task. Is it still progress?)
