Chromeo, and the two men who create the smoothest of music under the same moniker are at rest aboard, preparing for another global voyage of lovers' funk ambassadorship. RATATAT Ratatat (Mike Stroud and Evan Mast) have just released LP4, the follow up to LP3 which was released to worldwide critical acclaim in 2008. The album, their fourth for XL Recordings, was conceived following the prolific LP3 recording sessions at Old Soul Studios, in rural upstate New York and much of the album was ultimately recorded there as well. And while the albums were born in the same studio LP4 is by no means an extension of its predecessor. Ratatat says It's weirder. From remixing to producing pop albums, from hiphop to breakbeat, Noisia have proven themselves capable while maintaining a strong foothold in the drum 'n bass scene and staying true to their signature sound. EMALKAY A brilliant and inimitable producer, Emalkay refuses to define himself by anything other than his own musical evolution. From his early years producing grime and garage, right through to 2011 and the release of massive debut album 'Eclipse', he has continued to break new ground and move forward with each and every track he makes. Away from the hub of any kind of scene, the Birmingham-based producer made things happen for himself from the start, eventually finding a home at Dub Police and never looking back. SIRIUSMO Primarily, Siriusmo aka Moritz Friedirch is a real survivalist, played in a band for many years and is a fan of old keyboards. As a professional artist (painting, illustration, graffiti) Siriusmo lives off temporary jobs and even does construction work now and then. Just on extremely rare occasions can Moritz be seen on stage (children's birthday parties or other family get-togethers) - and even then his mood is rather shitty due to his bad taking of criticism. NADASTROM Together, Dave Nada and Matt Nordstrom form the pinnacle of production and DJ'ing. Switch quickly invited the duo to join the legendary imprint Dubsided for a stream of record releases.
