Jonathan Kent Beats Bo Duke?

According to John Schneider in a recent interview, of all the roles he's played, his favorite character was Jonathan Kent in "Smallville."

This pronouncement may come as a shock to Dukes of Hazzard fans, but maybe the writing was on the wall when he sold his General Lee at auction years ago. However, John participated in "Hazzard Homecoming" last summer, and it seems obvious that "Bo Duke" will always be a part of him. Perhaps it's a smaller part than we thought.

On the bright side, John continues to have good rapport with the rest of the Dukes cast, as evidenced by his participation in "The Return of the Killer Shrews" with James Best and Rick Hurst. John is also appearing in concert with Tom Wopat in Ontario, Canada, in April of 2012.

John's been busy lately, from "Trick My What?" on CMT, to his role on "Glee", to the elusive "Doonby" movie, to the new skateboarding movie "Hardflip." To hear more about his latest projects and to witness the Jonathan Kent remark, watch the interview here.

Byron "Coy Duke" Cherry Recovering After Back Injury

Byron's agent, Mark Van Woert, reported that Byron suffered broken vertebra after falling off a 20-ft ladder about a week ago. Byron was attempting to hang Christmas decorations when the ladder became uncooperative. Fortunately, Byron is making progress, though he won't be moving at high speeds for awhile. You can see recent photos of Byron and read his agent's report in our Forums. Stop by and add your get-well message!

CMT Continues Dukes...For Now

CMT is easing off the throttle on Dukes episodes after November. While The Dukes of Hazzard still appear on CMT in early December, air times appear to worsen. By December 7th, the Dukes are slotted for a single episode per night, with an air time of 1:45 a.m. Eastern. By that time, The Dukes of Hazzard airings are filling gaps between CMT's late-night movie and infomercials.

We don't know if the Dukes will continue to be a part of CMT in 2012. Efforts to get any comment from CMT's programming director have been unsuccessful. In the meantime, check your local cable listings to catch the Dukes on the air. Better yet, get the DVD sets and enjoy the Dukes of Hazzard in your home forever!

Killer Shrews Return to Devour Unsuspecting Island Trespassers

Before he was Sheriff Rosco P. Coltrane, James Best had already appeared in dozens of Hollywood's most notable films, as well as one movie was just plain notorious. "The Killer Shrews" of 1959 went down in history as possibly the worst low-grade horror flick of all time.

So what does "The Return of the Killer Shrews" hope to accomplish? Well, it's not shooting for an Oscar! Take a look at the movie trailer in our Forums and catch a glimpse of James Best, John Schneider and Rick Hurst as they cope with the world's worst rodent problem.

Elusive "Doonby" Movie Quietly Making Waves

There's another unofficial, official confirmation that Doonby will be in mainstream circulation during "early 2012."  Starring John Schneider, this movie seems to have done everything possible lately to stay off the public radar. But as details of the plot and message continue to leak, it seems Doonby could be a polarizing story - one that some audiences may embrace and applaud, while others may find it serving of a single viewpoint. But hey, we're just a Dukes of Hazzard website and we're not gonna get into all that. Instead, we'll just share the latest info we found, courtesy of our shameless seedy sources.
