Is a 49 Day Transformation Even Possible? Sent Monday, November 21, 2011 View as plaintext

Well, consider the math.  You need a caloric deficit of 3500 calories to lose 1lb of
fat.  That breaks down to a deficit of about 500 calories/day to lose 1lb
/week.  

Add some boxing specific workouts that will burn up to a 1000 calories/hour
and you can probably increase that deficit safely to about 1000 calories/day
meaning you'll shed 2lbs/fat per week.

49 days is 7 weeks meaning a fat loss of 14lbs.  Do you think losing 14lbs
of fat will make much of a difference?

Well, that much fat loss with no associated muscle loss will:

1.  If you're already lean- you'll get that ripped look - muscle striations
and abs popping out all over the place

2.  If you're average - you'll start to get lean and see the beginnings of your abs

3.  If you're overweight - you'll drop enough fat that you'll require a new wardrobe

4.  If you're obese - you'll lower your blood pressure, drop several waist sizes and 
start feeling 100% better about yourself.

So yeah, 49 days is plenty of time to make some drastic changes.
