Let us know Tip of the Week- Twitter's New Lists Feature Last month Twitter unveiled a new feature called Lists. They're still putting the finishing touches on it, but you might have noticed a little button called "Lists" in the top right hand section of your profile page. Basically it allows you to create specialized lists and segregate the people you're following into those lists. The feed (timeline) of each list is made up of only the people that you've placed on that list. You can add, delete or block anyone. And you can subscribe to other people's lists if they've been made public. On your homepage, you'll see the lists you've created (each with their own URL) as well as the lists you've been added to by others. You'll probably end up following more people. For example, if you're a photographer and someone has created a great list of photographers, you might follow all of them. One good thing is that you get exposed to quality content (hopefully) and to people who have similar interests. You can even go to that list and just add people that are in your geographic area. A few strategies for creating good lists: Check out the lists of people you already follow Search out people who have expertise in the areas in which you're interested and see which lists they've been placed on Go to Listorious.com, which is a directory of Twitter lists. On the homepage you'll see a box titled, "Top Tags," and at the bottom is a link called "All Tags." Go to "All Tags" and find a tag that fits what you're looking for It's another way of finding "your people" and being found by them. I plan to begin creating lists in the next few days.
