Tip of the Week- Browser Size, Real-Time Google Results & MS Office Alternate
Browser Size
Recently Google released a beta (Google Labs) version of "Browser Size" so you can "See which important parts of your web page can't be seen by users without scrolling."
This is an excellent way to get an idea of which parts of the prime real estate on your website (or blog) is visible "above the fold". "Above the fold" refers to the top part of a newspaper page which could be viewed when folded in half.
Why are these views so different? Because there are so many screen resolutions available on new and older computers
And why did Google test this with a "Donate now" button? So you'll instantly "get" whether the prime thing you're asking your viewers to do on your site is visible.
Where's your "Buy" button and can most people see it?

Real-time Google search results: Twitter tweets now in search results
You may have heard that due to a financial arrangement between Google and Twitter (such that Twitter may make it's first profit ever), Twitter posts known as "tweets" will be integrated into Google search results. Google feels that these real-time posts will enhance their users' search experiences & results.
But how can you view these "real-time" results easily?
3) Under the Google logo, click on the "+Show options" link: http://bit.ly/65sWlU
4) Then click on the "latest" link (in the left column under "Any time"): http://bit.ly/6h0b6m
5) Now look at the top of the Google search results and wait a moment.
Cool, eh?

Alternate for Microsoft Office
Just in case something ever happens to MS-Office as possibly alluded to in Christopher Null's Yahoo Tech article today: "Microsoft Word sale prohibited as of Jan. 11, fix promised" http://tech.yahoo.com/blogs/null/158160 , please keep in mind that you can always download a fully featured alternative suite called Open Office...at no cost:
Of course, we all know and love Office, but just in case there's an option.
Not to mention Google Docs of course: docs.google.com/...another option.
Take care and may you have the best of all possible holiday seasons!

Check out TheSolutionMovie.com, our 90 second video and please share the movie with anyone you feel might benefit (web-owners, bloggers, authors, job seekers, speakers and others) who would like to achieve greater success.
Watch it again to affirm your own decision to improve your website and online marketing efforts.
In the near future we'll be posting articles on the IOP site which show how you can make (or have made) a movie like this for your site too.
The primary reason that Karl and I've together this website is to help you make more money. We know the things that you need to know, but we also want to hear about the topics that are of special importance to you.
