Today's mission was suggested to us by Hannah, one of our team members. Here's what she had to say: Wow, this is such good timing. I came across someone yesterday that I wanted to suggest for the next bomb, and wondered when that would be! A friend of mine was talking about the blog of a friend of hers (someone I follow on Twitter). She said that just from this person's Tweets, you would never know what she was going through. When I went to read her blog, I understood completely. The person is called Jay (she also answers to Cosmic Girlie) and she is smart, funny, sassy, warm and open. She is also fighting against a depression that threatens to suffocate her completely. That voice in her head that tells her she's worthless, useless, unloved. Well, her post 'Conversations' can explain it better than I can. (Warning for a little profanity, but I think that it's just a symptom of how she feels inside, and not something to judge her for). I just wanted to reach out to her when I read this, and explored her blog a little further. I really think that right now, she could do with a big dose of knowing that people do care - a big dose of bloggy love. Please, please consider her for the love bomb this time around. She is a great lady and I'd hate to see her go under, thinking that nobody cares. Guys, I'm not gonna lie. This was a tough one today, both to read and choose for the bombing mission. Sometimes this stuff is a little scary, and I don't know exactly what to do or say. But I do know that this is the one that really resonated with me today, so I'm going with it. Let's show some love, people. Nate |
