Welcome to our May newsletter! We'd like to thank all our readers who entered our previous competitions and let you know that there is still time to enter our competition this month. See the details below. Quiz
This month Goods from Japan is sponsoring our competition, which is open only to subscribers to our newsletter. The first two people with the correct answer picked out of a hat will each win a baseball happi coat to celebrate Japan's win at the recent WBC. The next 3 people picked out of the hat will receive a Hanshin Tigers or Yomiuri Giants Japanese baseball cap - the two most popular teams in Japan. Please state your preference in your reply. The next ten people selected will each receive a free Matsuzaka Headband. All you have to do is answer these three questions (follow the links to find the answers).

Kofu - just 90 minutes from Shinjuku, Kofu makes for a great weekend break from the metropolis.
Mt. Hiei - We recently climbed Mt Hiei in Kyoto to visit the historic Enryakuji Temple, home of the "Marathon Monks." Other mountains we hope to scale soon are Mount Fuji and Gozaisho in Mie.
Shosenkyo - Shosenkyo is a beautiful river gorge located just outside Kofu city, and voted Japan's 2nd best attractions after Mount Fuji. Onsen - Beppu Onsens - we recommend some of the best hot springs in Beppu, Oita Prefecture, on the southern island of Kyushu.
