Japan Visitor Newsletter

Dear

Welcome to our March newsletter! We'd like to wish all our readers the very best as spring approaches for those in the northern hemisphere. Thank you to all our subscribers who entered our previous competitions. We are running a new competition this month. See the entry details below.

Quiz

This month Goods from Japan is sponsoring our competition, which is open only to subscribers to our newsletter.  Each month we will be offering new prizes for our members. This month we have a number of prizes on offer.

The first prize is a pair of beautifully hand-painted Japanese kites. Other prizes include some traditional Japanese paper lanterns and with the baseball season just about to start some Hanshin Tigers baseball caps - we wish them well in The Year of the Tiger!

All you have to do is answer these four questions (follow the links to find the answers; there's one question about China).

To enter the competition, just reply to this email with the subject line "JV competition".

We will select the winners who will receive the prizes listed above from all entries received before April Fool's Day on April 1.

What's New

Japanese Culture - Eating Out in Tokyo introduces some of the capital's best restaurants.

Japanese Food - Bagels from Hokkaido now rival the New York variety for taste, we argue.

Japanese Funerals - An inside look at death the Japanese way.

Books - Nihongo Fun & Easy is a great way to get started with "real" Japanese.

Festivals - the Tagata Jinja Fertility Festival takes place on March 15, just outside Nagoya.
