Are Your Children Safe? - Cybersecurity Follow-Up Fridays!

Published: Fri, 04/22/16

Good morning ,

Another week has seemingly flown by! Anything new and exciting happen?

This week, for me, was a reminder of how we all need to continue to have a proper work/life balance focusing on these three areas in our lives: "I, We and All".

I - Take care of your health, well being, mental clarity, finances, career/business. This needs to be a daily action so that you can enjoy life. It is ok to be selfish here so take the time and effort to care of you.

We - Look after your immediate family and friends. When you look after yourself first you can then really help the people around you that need it.

All - Expanding to your further circle, look after your close acquaintances, staff, clients, neighbours...etc.  Once you are able to do the I and the We and have an abundance of energy still left over, then you will be able to start helping others.

I share this weekly reminder because I find that life is constantly throwing us challenges and the more we take care of ourselves, the more we can. This, in turn, allows us to move forward in our lives with a better, more positive outlook.

You may also find that when you take care of yourself and are in-line with what you really want things can start to manifest around you.

For me this past week, because I was completely in-line with everything I am doing: working out, eating right, keeping a good work/life balance, I found more IT Security opportunities became available to me.

For example: last week I was hesitant about submitting an IT Security article to a contest. My initial thought was that I was so busy and had so much to do, I just wouldn't have time. I went for a  work out and by the time I was finished I had the article already written in my head. I wrote it up, gave it to my editor and in a few hours I submitted it. The winner of the contest would get some gear from the company as a prize and that would be pretty cool.

Yesterday I found out I won! I had submitted the best article. To be honest I was a little shocked. And the best part is I just didn't win the gear, they liked my article so much they want me to be a freelance writer for them to write more about IT Security. Crazy!

This goes to show my point that when you are taking care of yourself and are truly focused on what you want to do, opportunities can manifest themselves.

I wanted to share this with you because I know so many people are going through struggles right now and I would love it if you shared this story with them. Hopefully it helps them to stay motivated and keep moving forward.

Respond back to this email with your feedback.
