In May, our own Faustina Appiah is returning home to Ghana. Cleaning Detergents

Canned meats - Sardine/Mackerel/Corned Beef/Tuna

Stationery (envelopes, pens, pencils, erasers, totes, glue, rulers
Hair Products)
Lotions
Paper Products (toilet roll, paper napkins, Kleenex)
Children's Clothing

Gleaning

On Saturday morning April 11, 2015, you are invited to join us in our second group gleaning day of the year with C.R.O.S. Ministries. Gleaning is the ancient, biblical practice of picking produce from a field that has already been harvested. Less than grocery-store-perfect peppers, cucumbers, and corn are picked, boxed and distributed to the hungry in Palm Beach County. We will not know until the week before where we will be gleaning. If you are interested in participating, contact Ginny Somerville (561-685-8185) or  Janet Lisle (561-964-3749) to let us know you will be participating.

Linus Project

The mission of Project Linus is to provide love, a sense of security, warmth, and comfort to children who are seriously ill, traumatized or otherwise in need, through the gifts of new, handmade blankets and afghans lovingly created by volunteers.  Our volunteers knit, crochet, quilt or make blankets of hand-tied fleece.   In addition, some of our members are involved with making prayer shawls, caps for premies, and scarves for children that are sent overseas to dental clinics. We would love to have anyone who is interested, come and join us.  We will meet next Sunday on April 12 after church in the Parlor. If you need help getting started, we have members who can teach you how to crochet or knit.  It you’d like any additional information, call Betty Rigdon at 964-5926.

Picnic and Talent Show

Our annual picnic on the grounds and our FIRST annual congregational talent show will be Sunday, April 19th! Do you sing, juggle, dance, play an instrument? We would love to have you share your talent with us.

Coffee & Conversation

You are invited to join a new group beginning Friday, January 30th and meeting each Friday from 10:00 AM until 11:30 AM in the Fellowship Hall for coffee, conversation, and fellowship. See Janet Lisle for additional information.

Facebook

If you are on Facebook, you can keep up with what is happening "between Sundays" on our Facebook page. First, go to our page and "Like" us. However, just liking us does not mean that you will see everything we post. Each of our Facebook posts only goes to about 2% of the people who like our page. To make sure you see everything, after you like us, go to the pull-down menu on the "Like" button and click "Get Notifications." This way everything that we post will show up on your own Facebook wall.

Easter 2015

It was such a joy to be together in worship on Sunday, celebrating the Resurrection of Christ! If you were not able to be with us, you can watch the service here.

2015 Scholarship Applications

We are now accepting applications for the 2015 College scholarship. The scholarship is for members of First Congregational Church of Lake Worth who are beginning or continuing college or vocational education. You can find the guidelines and application here or pick up a copy at the church campus.

Online Giving

Have you explored the opportunity of electronic giving? You can choose to have a set amount taken from your bank account on a regular basis or you can make a one (or more) time gift by checking account or credit card on our website. Your regular electronic giving means that your gift is available for ministry even when you are away (or forgot your checkbook!). Thank you for your continued support of the ministry of First Congregational Church!
