 New Comer Lunch
Join Pastor Jason this Sunday, June 28th after the worship service for a light lunch and time together to talk about spiritual life and community, First Congregational Church and the United Church of Christ. If you have been attending our church and would like to learn more about who we are, this is a great opportunity. If you are a member and want to learn more about our life together. For those who wish to join First Congregational we will receive new members on July 5th. |

Of Bugs and Bones
Frederick Buechner famously wrote that a "self-authenticating religious experience" might actually kill him; so we're left with personal stories of how our imaginations sometimes reach for the ineffable. And that might not be a bad thing... Here's a lovely one from Lesley-Anne Evans. Service Day
Mark your calendars for Saturday, August 1st. We will be painting a neighborhood house with "Paint Your Heart Out Lake Worth." Join us as we work together to make our community better! Thank you Trish, Emerson, and I had a great vacation last week. We had the opportunity to unplug and spend some much needed time together. Thank you to everyone who helped make our week away possible including Dr. Button for preaching, Carol Lewis and Carolyn Ludwig for doing the children's lessons, Makenzie Button for sharing in song, Cathy Austen for making sure everything ran smoothly, Harvey Littlefield for minding the campus as usual, and all of the rest of you for being here and carrying out your parts as we are the church together. However, just liking us does not mean that you will see everything we post. Each of our Facebook posts only goes to about 2% of the people who like our page.
