February 22, 2015

Lent is an opportunity for great spiritual and personal examination, a time to study our relationship with God and others, a time to improve those relationships and make them more meaningful. But our desire for deeper connection to God, one another, and all of God's creation this Lent has to compete with the rest of life. Our spiritual practices go up against our everyday lives, busy schedules, work and family demands, emotional trials, and more. Read more on our website.

Pastor's Blog

We are coming to the end of our Thursday night group "Painting the Stars." We have been challenged, liberated, and inspired by the material and the conversation it has fostered. Last Thursday we each shared the one thing that we would change about church that we think would most help church to evolve. The ideas were rich and I wanted to share them here. What would you add? How would you respond to these? Please share in the comments section.

Online Giving

Have you explored the opportunity of electronic giving? You can choose to have a set amount taken from your bank account on a regular basis or you can make a one (or more) time gift by checking account or credit card on our website. Your regular electronic giving means that your gift is available for ministry even when you are away (or forgot your checkbook!). Thank you for your continued support of the ministry of First Congregational Church!
