New Cartridges from Winter CHA

I
t's that time of year again when the manufacturers release their newest and hottest designs at the Craft and Hobby Association show. Here are the newest cartridges Cricut has unveiled. They are set to be released between April and June. I know these pictures are large, but I wanted you to be able to read the descriptions if you would like.

Make Stamps from your Cricut!

Have you ever wished you had a stamp in a design from your Cricut? Now you can cut any design and stamp away. The Cricut Cuttables Stamp Kit includes one 6" x 6" stamp sheet and four acrylic blocks that measure approximately 1" x 1", 2" x 2", 3" x 3" and 6.5" x 2". It costs about $20. I have found them on sale for about $15 here. The refill kit includes two 6" x 6" stamp sheets and one vinyl storage envelope. The cost for a refill is about $10.

Just a note: to cut these you need to use the deep blade.

F r e e Digital Photography Guide
For Christmas a couple years ago John got me an awesome digital SLR camera. (He still says, "Remember, I got you that camera you really wanted" when he's in a pinch, lol) Well, here it is a full two years later, and I still use the automatic mode! I've said I'm going to go take a class, but, well, I just haven't. If you are anything like me, you may feel a twinge of guilt or frustration for not being able to work the camera to it's full potential. I found this f r e e downloadable guide to digital photography, and thought it may help you as well. You can get your copy at the Learn Digital Photography website. Grab the guide, or if you're really serious, grab his full blown book. I hope it helps you get some awesome photos!

Cricut Design Studio: The Missing Manual

If you haven't checked out the new manual for the Cricut Design Studio you can read about it here. It is a 50 page downloadable manual with screenshots and links to a FULL HOUR of how to videos.

Here's an excerpt from an email I recently received:

"I just purchased your book yesterday and am thrilled with what you have done.  It has "opened" my Design Studio for me.  I have been fumbling around like many, I'm sure, self-teaching myself how to make the program do what I want it to do and what the literature tells me it will do...I teach a Cricut class...Now, I can direct them to your e-book.  What a great tool.
