Where Are Alan and Donna?
Donna has just completed a trip to Memphis, TN, where she discovered that Memphis has fab dining venues that go way beyond barbecue. Expect a Memphis dining article soon. Meanwhile, we've relocated for the summer to Montana's Bitterroot Valley, where we'll be reporting on the many small town festivals and events in southwestern Montana. In early June, we'll be attending a Porsche Club of America event in Whitefish, Montana that's sure to introduce us (and you) to a scenic drive or two. After that? You just never know with our itchy travel feet.
Baby Boomer Travel Tip
Need a ride to the airport? Rent a car -- that's what we do. If you're headed on a long trip, rather than reserving a car and driver or scheduling a shuttle pick-up from your home, check out your local car rental agency's one-way rentals. We've found that it's cheaper than a car and driver, only a few dollars more than a shuttle ride and about the same as a taxi. We like the convenience of driving ourselves; plus if we can combine it with mileage specials from our airline mileage program, we've scored a boomer bonus.
