Just a thought about the future

Not real sure why I was thinking of this but...

Are you the type of person who feels if you work a JOB that requires you to work 40+ hours a week and ~48 weeks out of year?

I think that's pretty normal.

But most people then are required to work for 45 years (after graduating college) to look towards retirement, if your lucky. I know a LOT of people who are closing in on their 70s who can't retire or they will forfeit their current lifestyle (vacations, cars, house, food...)

So that got me to thinking....

As a society we are sold on working for 45+ years, 40+ hours a week, for 48 weeks out of the year hoping to get a 2-5% raise on an annual basis with some sprinkles of promotions.

So.... that being the case are you in a situation where you can retire from your JOB and still keep up your current lifestyle?

I wanna say less than 5% of the population can retire and still keep up their current lifestyle... and those people were making probably more than $250,000 per year for many years.

Are you on track to retire or are you on pace to kick the bucket while at work?

The other segment are those who LOVE their work.... and that is where it's at.

Go find something that is NOT work but something you enjoy doing and they still pay you. Get paid enough and when you "retire" nothing really changes ;)

For those who don't exactly love what they do for a "living"...
