The Secret to Winning Instant Win Games (IWG)

What is an Instant Win Game or IWG for short?

Think of an instant win game like playing a slot machine. You play and
play and eventually you will hit a win. It might be small or it might
be the jackpot.

Playing slot machines isn't based on luck or how many times you rub the
machine (yes, people do this). Slot machines pay out based on odds and
statistics. You will not help the machine to land on a winning
combination by praying for it, wearing your favorite outfit, or sitting
in the chair sideways.

They, like instant win games, also hit at certain times. When the
numbers in the computer that runs the slot machine line up the right
way to create the right combination the machine produces a win.
Sometimes, the win is small because maybe you bet only 1 coin or point.
Other times that same combination wins bigger because you bet more
coins or points. I am no slot machine expert. This is my observation
and also based on a few things I have read.

Wait - I think I am getting off track. The point of the slot machine
story was to say that instant win games like slot machine winners are
picked at certain times and a very different than a sweepstakes drawing
which is usually random.

When you enter an instant win game on the Internet you as hoping that
the time that has been programmed into the software that runs that game
will be the time you are entering.

Skip the Game

Winning on an instant win game has nothing to do with the game they
want you to play that is part of the promotion nor is it watching a
movie or anything else. It is based on the time of day you enter. We
are back now to statistics and odds.

If you read the Official Rules you will see that most say something like this:

In order for your Game Play to be a potentially winning Game Play, it
must have occurred either at the exact randomly predetermined winning
time as determined by the name of the Sponsor here and/or Name of
Judging Agency here or if no Game Play has occurred at the exact
randomly predetermined winning time, then it must be the Game Play that
occurred at the closest time following the randomly predetermined
winning time.

If you think that picking the right prize or doing the right thing in a
game will help you win you are wrong. Have you noticed that many
instant win games have a link that reads, I cannot view the game? That
is so you can skip the game if you want and also because some computers
may not have the plug-in needed to see the game. So, this should
immediately tell you that it is not based on playing the game.

I have won many, many, many instant win prizes and over the last 2
years that has been the main way I win prizes now. I used to win much
more through the mail or just entering basic Internet sweepstakes. And,
I have won many of them by clicking that link that allows you to skip
the game.

Time of Day

Although you can win anytime during the day I found that certain times of the day are best. Why? More people are sleeping !

My favorite time to enter and win successfully is 4:30 am EST. That
figures out to be around 1:30 am PST. Most people aren't up at that
time of night or morning depending on how you look at it. Now, I can't
say that I win everytime I am up entering at the time of morning but I
do win more then than any other time of the day or night.

So, basically between 4 and 6 am are the best times (in my opinion) to
enter and win instant win games because the majority of the people
entering these kind of games are not online. There is no way to predict
when an instant win game will hit but playing them when more people are
asleep can give you just a slight edge over the competition.

Well, I guess it really isn't a secret anymore.
Wendy (Swisher Sweetie) posts instant win games, sweepstakes, blog giveaways, and contests daily on her blog located at www.swishersweetie.com and teaches you how to win with proven tips and methods.

Simple Facts Everyone Should Know About Freebies, Giveaways and Internet Lotteries, Sweepstakes
By Yan Lii
So you have stumbled upon another free offer site, another internet lottery, another Submit your e-mail and win a private jet site. Surely, it's another scam - you think, and quickly close the webpage.
But is it really a scam and why are there so many of these offers flying around? What is the deal with freebies and how do they work? Take a deep breath and prepare for the truth that will be revealed to you in seconds.
The fact is, most freebies are not scams. And another truth is, you get them for free*. What it means is that while it is technically free, you have to invest something, usually time or giving away your personal information (email, mobile phone, address, etc..). Let's analyse how freebie sites work, shall we. First of all, the companies who run freebie sites make money of advertisements and other companies who pay them in order to promote their products on freebie sites. It's called affiliate marketing and it is all around the internet, if you haven't yet noticed. The thing is usually before you actually get the freebie, you have to complete a certain survey, sign up for a free trial (usually more than one though) or simply give up your info. Companies later use this info to build a mailing list and send you product offers. The thing is, technically this really is free but you have to pay with something else, usually, your time. The free trials you have to offer ask for a credit card and you should not be that alarmed. Just read the rules carefully and write down the date when you joined for the trial. After you get your freebie - just cancel the trial in order not to get billed. This is crucial as many people either don't complete all trial offers and never receive the freebie or simply forget they have completed some and get their credit card charged. The companies rely on this to make money, but this is not really scamming, because people who complete the offers to get the freebie, usually indeed receive it.
Internet Lotteries
This is actually quite easy. The companies offering to win a car or a laptop also make money similarly as freebie sites. Only the difference is they do a lottery and send out only one gift to one of many, many participants, but freebie sites will send out the freebie to anyone who did all the offers, requirements for it. That is why lottery usually request only your email or answering quickly to some survey. The money they pay for the giveaway car is really nothing compared to what they earn off sponsors.
Conclusion
Freebies and lotteries do work if you just follow the rules of each freebie and lottery and do everything carefully. You should still be weary of scams, but just don't think that every site out there which offers some kind of a free gift is out there to rob you, scam you and steal your organs.

Interview with Hadassah Sabo from In The Pink

Why and when did you start blogging?

i
started blogging anonymously towards the end of my marriage - it was
amazing catharsis for me to blog about everything that was happening.
Life became very hectic and stressful and i stopped blogging. i
restarted about 9 months ago, after many people told me they loved
reading my email updates on the family, and on life, and that they
would love for other people to be exposed to my wit and my
inspirational messages.

What do you love most about blogging?

i love how
free i feel when i write, i love knowing that people get a chuckle out
of my words, or are touched by something i have said. knowing that you
make a difference, no matter how small, in another persons life is a
heady feeling.

Do you do product reviews and giveaways? If so, how did you get
started? If not, what do your blog about?

no i don't - or at least not
formally. I blog about the trials and tribulations of being a single
mom, of being a religious Jewish single mom in a very religious
environment, i blog about the dating world and about kids and life.

Is there a blogger that has been the most influential to you?

yes,
his blog name is Treppenwitz. Trep has been blogging for a good few
years and his blogs are about any subject under the sun. When he blogs
about his kids, the love and adoration he feels for them comes through
so clear and strong. he is a man not afraid to express his feelings and
opinions. reading his blog inspires me to be a better person. i was so
blessed to meet him and his family this past summer - a visit i will
never forget.
What is your favorite blog to read?

again, Treppenwitz. http://
bogieworks.blogs.com/
treppenwitz/

Do
you have any tips for other mom bloggers?

the one tip i have is write
from the heart. sometimes we get hung up on whether or not people want
to read about our boring lives - but when your heart is in your
writing, even the mundane can entertain.

Interview with Christina from Northern Cheapskate

November 19, 2008

Why and when did you start blogging? I started blogging at Northern
Cheapskate in November 2007. I was pretty selfish in my reasons at the
time: I wanted to stay focused on living a frugal lifestyle while I
became a stay-at-home mom to my three little boys, and I wanted to keep
my brain from turning to mommy-mush by writing on a regular basis.
Much to my surprise, the blog has evolved into something much more than
that.
What do you love most about blogging? I love the sense of
community on my blog. I love feeling connected to like-minded people.
I learn new things from my readers all the time.
Do you do
product reviews and giveaways? If so, how did you get started? I have
only done a handful of product reviews and giveaways. Most of the
time, various public relations firms found me... for a couple of them,
I've just asked for prizes to giveaway and they've helped me out.
Is
there a blogger that has been the most influential to you? Far and
away the blog that has had the biggest influence on me has been Freebies4Mom.
Heather has been a great friend and an inspiration to me. I often turn
to her for blogging advice. She is one of the smartest, kindest and
hard-working bloggers I know.
What is your favorite blog to read? There are simply too many to
list! I currently have 135 blogs in my reader right now. To pick just
one would make me cry. My favorites are about the latest deals, frugal
living, or blogging.
Do you have any tips for other mom
bloggers? Family always needs to come first. Sometimes that's hard
for me to remember, because I'm a little obsessive when it comes to
tweaking my blog. Good blogs take lots and lots of work, so blog
because you love to write and love to share... not because you're
trying to become famous or rich. Remember that we mom bloggers have
powerful voices.
Christina blogs at Northern Cheapskate and can also be found on Twitter at http://twitter.com/ncheapskate.

INTERVIEW WITH SARA FROM MOMMA FINDINGS

November 5, 2008

Why and when did you start blogging?
As a young wife of 7 years and Mother to three children ages 5 and
under, I found myself in a new city, away from friends, away from
family, and trying to stay sane. We just finished our 7th
move in 4 years due to my husbands job promotions and I needed an
outlet to express my feelings as a SAHM who felt isolated. I started
blogging December 2007, as a prayer journal, at My Sippy Cup Runneth Over. I haven't stopped since and I now share more than just my written prayers as I write about my life as a ,now, WAHM.

What do you love most about blogging?
The one thing I love about blogging is mainly the chance to
write. I've always loved writing and soon became addicted to my blog.
As I grew into my bloggy identity, I found so many other women who had
the same writing styles, interests, and stories. I became quickly
involved with networks and enjoy the friendships and

opportunities to be
made through blogging.

How did you get started doing reviews and giveaways?
Momma Findings
started on a whim. In my blog browsing I ran across so many review
blogs hosting giveaways and reviewing awesome products. I thought to
myself, I really want to do that! I started my first review not
knowing WHAT on earth to write. The magic post? Toilet Paper.
Really! My daughter begged me to buy Cottenelle's Puppy Paw Print
Toilet Paper. It ran from there as I learned how to network, market,
and gain Sponsorship for each product. I absolutely love having the
chance to offer so many great products to my readers!

Is there a blogger that has been the most influential to you?
Tina at Golden Goodness has been my inspiration. I won my
first giveaway at her blog. It happened to be a blog makeover. With her
design talent she re-designed my personal blog and helped me re-name it
as My Sippy Cup Runneth Over. I was pitiful before I met her. After
friendly emails, we realized we had a lot in common being that she
lives near Memphis (where I had JUST moved from and now moving BACK
to). She is witty, inspirational, and a very talented blog designer, as
well as a Sweet, Christian, Momma to boot! Check her out at: http://goldengoodness.
blogspot.com/

What is your favorite blog to read?
Along with Tina at Golden Goodness, I love reading JMB Mommy
at His Grace is Enough. She, like Tina, gets your mind thinking, shares
her struggles as a mother, and her faith to get through it all. You can
find here at: http://csocoteanu.blogspot.
com/

Do you have any tips for other review/giveaway bloggers?
Being that I learned the hard way I do have a few tips for
review/giveaway bloggers trying to find their way through networks,
marketing strategies, traffic builders, and PR reps.
1.) Keep it light. Opportunities become so big and it's easy to over
book yourself. I started reviewing seriously because I love it, there
are tons of perks, and I like promoting some of my favorite companies
and products. I'm slowly learning that it needs to be secondary to my
family and duties at home. The stress of a deadline can get
overwhelming. Close the laptop. Grab a Mocha. And watch a movie with
you hubby or have game night with the kids. Reviewing HAS to be
secondary to your life as a wife and mother.
2.) Get in a niche! There are so many things to learn about
reviewing and I've found a lot of my answers from other reviewers on
networks I belong to. MomDot.com has a forum where you can discover
different opportunities, ask questions, and build your traffic.
3.) Don't be afraid to go after sponsors. I was really hesitant and,
quite frankly, scared. I kept thinking they would just tell me no
because my traffic stats weren't as high as other reviewers. I quickly
found it, that Stats are just merely, that.. Stats. Sponsors look at
MORE than that. They look at your writing style, your personalized
emails, and your overall ability to promote them through your honesty.
4.) Last one I have that goes back to your honesty. If a company has
sent me a product and I can't write a balanced review I email them to
let them know that. Yeah, its disappointing and you don't want to lose
a Sponsorship or PR relationship, but I can't write about a product
that I don't feel comfortable endorsing.
