In August, we begin our circles for preparing new Elders and Keepers, so we'll be sharing more with you over the next few months about Elderhood and Keeper apprenticeship in the Sacred Path of the Feminine.
Reflections: Guided Meditation
We Are One
Find a quiet space. Sit comfortably and close your eyes. Breathe gently into yourself until your mind and body quiet down. Become aware of your heart and breathe. Just breathe until your mind and body become still and your heart and mind open.
Allow yourself to become aware of something you desire. Hold that desire lightly in your heart. Allow your appreciation for that desire to grow. Give permission for the satisfaction of this desire to fill you. Notice the feeling at the root of your satisfaction. Are you experiencing freedom, health, prosperity, being loved, being appreciated, etc? Now allow your consciousness to open to others that share the same basic desire for that feeling. Become aware of the people that come into your consciousness that wish to be held in the fulfillment of that shared desire. Be present to the desire and simply hold it in its fulfillment on your behalf and on behalf of others.
When you feel full, breathe deeply, exhaling through your mouth, bringing yourself into the awareness of this moment. Wiggle your fingers and toes. Gently open your eyes. Live in the awareness that we are one.

Aspen trees are intriguing to me. Do you know that a grove of aspen trees shares a single root system? That's right. These magnificent and unique trees share a root system through which they are nourished for greater growth.
Consider this definition from the Aspen Grove Project Organization: The aspen grove is the world's largest living organism. A single grove can grow large enough to cover an entire mountainside while the trees within the grove are interconnected through their shared root system. Each tree stands as an individual and at the same time is connected to the whole.
