Sales page: http://netbiz-insights.com/fbmagician As I predicted, everyone and his robot is promoting this really heavily. But, of course, that's no reason for YOU to buy it! The quick summary is that I give it a strong recommendation ONLY for one specific class of person, and weaker recommendations in two other cases. Let me start by admitting, I'm a Facebook dummy. For example, I've never understood how the viral element of FB works. I post something, someone comments... and then what? What exactly appears on other people's Walls? And under what circumstances? I am now finally beginning to understand... Just like Google used to focus on PageRank, Facebook has something called Edgerank. (Did you know about that? I'm totally embarrased to admit that I didn't - and I had to rely on a Chiropractor (Dr Ben) to tell me about it. Ho hum.) Actually, Dr Ben has made his video about Edgerank publicly available on YouTube, so I see no reason to not give you the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0S8ACdM1h2I The main 27-page PDF consists of 7 posting tricks to exploit Edgerank and maximise the viral elements of Facebook. My reactions to the tricks were mixed. My initial reaction was based on my own attitude to much of what goes on in Facebook: basically, I just don't do that kind of stuff/take part in those types of interactions. Call me a pompous, grumpy old Brit git - but there it is. My second reaction was... Alex - that is SUCH an un-professional response! Dr Ben is telling us how to market on Facebook. What he is suggesting is EXACTLY what works on Facebook: it's what FB visitors DO. Which means it WORKS! Just because I personally don't do those things is no reason to not use them. Most people aren't as pompous and grumpy as me! So, the PDF DOES contain good training, but is it worth the $9.97 he's charging? He tries to claim it's actually worth $9.97 per trick, making a total value of $79.79 - but that is sheer hype for sure. What you get in this PDF is something that, in the good-old-days, Ben would have given away for free to get you on his list and then sell you the backend products. On that basis, it's annoying to have to pay for what one might expect to get for free. So what about my recommendation? For non-serious FB Page users This is where I place myself. I have an FB page which could be MUCH more effective, but my time priorities mean I never get round to doing anything much with it. If that's you - then my recommendation is weak. As a semi-speculative purchase to get a bit more knowledgeable about Facebook, it's not too bad. It's low cost, there is little time-commitment needed to learn the ideas, and the advice is very specific and actionable. But you'll probably not follow it through! For serious FB Page users e.g. if you have (or definitely intend to have) Facebook as part of your traffic strategy. If that's you, my recommendation is moderate. In you're case, you probably have a pretty good idea of how you're going to use FB, so you may well know this stuff already. If not, the PDF will definitely be useful, but you'll have to make your own mind up about the OTO, depending on what else is in your strategy.. For people with offline clients In this case, I give it a STRONG recommendation because you should easily recoup your costs many times over. You can tell your clients about Edgerank, and follow up with advice about how to exploit it - and so appear very smart! Don't get me wrong. I like Dr Ben. He's a very smart guy (believe him... he's a Doctor!); I like the name Ben (the name I gave my son); he smiles a lot in his videos and looks sincere (and I believe he is). But here is why I'm wary. The WSO model depends massively on affiliate promotions, which means affiliates have to earn a good income to persuade them to promote. In the past, product developers would create a good quality 20-40 page PDF and GIVE it away in order to attract leads, and then sell them the product. Affiliates were quite happy to send traffic to a squeeze page to get them onto the developers list so that they could be then sold the main product. But no more. There are SO MANY possible promotions, affiliates don't want to give their leads away for nothing. So with the WSO model, nothing is given away for free, and increasingly, what would have been a free PDF is now sold as the front end product in order to attract affiliates to promote it. The REAL product is the backend or OTO. It seems to me that Dr Ben is doing that. Now, maybe the info the PDF is worth every cent of the $9 (or whatever), but maybe not. I'm going to check out the stuff behind the scenes as well and give you the full picture. As far as I can see, the product is not on a dimesale, so you won't lose out by waiting for a bit. As always, you'll get my honest opinion about this. I have no plans to try and win one of the massive JV prizes he's offering (which is what's causing all the affiliates to fall over themselves begging for your click!) But this is very different in two ways. ONE: the subject matter is pretty much EVERGREEN They have created 25 training videos for WordPress. Not hugely exciting, you may think - but that is exactly why it's evergreen. And look at the ideas below (and on the site) for what you could do with this. Bear in mind that the VAST majority of people have NO IDEA how to use WP. There's a big, big market out there still!
