2018 had some big hotel openings, some of the most notable being Rosewood Phuket, Hyatt Regency Bangkok, and the most prestigious of the year, the Waldorf Astoria Bangkok.
2019 has a lot more going on, especially in Bangkok and especially along the banks of the Chao Phraya River. Chao Phraya estate is scheduled to be completed this year and will bring the Four Seasons Bangkok at Chao Phraya- a return to Bangkok for the Four Seasons after a five year break- as well as Capella Bangkok. Both properties are due in the second quarter of 2019, but don't be surprised if there
are delays.
Another highly anticipated opening this year is the global debut of the new Orient Express hotel in Thailand's tallest building, the iconic Mahanakhon building- the one that looks like Godzilla took a swipe out of it.
I am very excited this year about the lineup of hotels opening in Thailand and am sure you are too.
