Hi ,
Our third truck was
named Elvis, following Jimi (Hendrix).
As an American singer, musician, actor and cultural icon, he is
commonly referred to by his first name, or as the "The King of Rock 'n' Roll"
or "The King."
One for the money, one for the road...

The
end of the fuel surcharge!
For
the last 6 months we have had to charge a fuel surcharge on our tours
because of the huge spike in the oil price earlier this
year. Although the price of crude oil came down again most
African
countries
set the price and left it high, much higher than we had budgeted
for. So for the 6-months from July to the end of 2008 we have
had
to add on a highly unpopular fuel surcharge. The good news
for
2009 is that there is NO fuel surcharge! You
will
also be
happy to see that
our
Euro prices have hardly changed for 2009. |

Voluntours
- Make a Difference
- Since the launch of the
voluntours earlier this year, there has been a great deal of interest
in
this new travel concept. The idea of going on holiday and
spending your time and money in a more socially responsible way is
appealing to a lot of people.
The most popular project on
this tour is
undoubtedly the Jane Goodal Chimpanzee Eden near the Kruger National
Park. This project deals with orphaned and rescued
chimpanzees with the end goal that they are reintroduced in to a wild
environment..

Nomad
Update There is always a lot of news
to try fit into our newsletters, please
feel free to contact us via the livechat
feature on our website or this newsletter. We welcome questions and can
provide advice on
our tours, check availability etc.

The Nomad
African Trust was
launched in April of this year and has slowly been gaining
supporters. www.nomadafricantrust.co.za
2009 is looking like an exciting year. The South
African
Rand is down, which is good news for foreign tourists, everything is
cheap again. Currently a Beer
in a
club costs about R15 which is USD1.45 / EUR 1.15 or GBP .98, not that
you want to drink beer all day, but it is always a good
comparison. It is
a good time to visit Southern Africa! |
