Our forth truck was
named Freddie, following Elvis. Born
on the island of Zanzibar off the coast of Tanzania, Freddie later was
a
co-founder of the rock band Queen. He was regarded as one of the
greatest vocalists and frontmen in the history of music.

Kilimanjaro
Treks -
Nomad launches a new route the Machame Route for
2010. Along with the current Rongai and Marangu routes we will operate
three different routes for the adventure seeking traveller looking to
climb the world's highest freestanding mountain. Mount Kilimanjaro is
5895 metres high, we trek through
beautiful rainforest and grasslands before the demanding climb to the
summit. Accommodation is camping (Rongai and Machame Routes) or
communal huts (on the Marangu Route) and our guides and porters take
good care of you including cooking all the meals.

World
Cup 2010 - As
2010 approaches South Africa is looking forward
to hosting the Football World Cup and everything that comes with it.
Stadiums are being finished on time with road networks and airports
being upgraded. Nomad is looking at operating as many of our normal
tours during the World Cup as possible. If you are interested in coming
to South Africa during the World Cup, we recommend booking your tour on
either end of your stay and booking early. Check out your team's

Delta.
