Clearpond now stocks the new WaterQube - Hi-Strength Reservoir, Water Storage, Rainwater Collection and Waterfeature Cubes and Downspout Filters!

Ideal for pondless waterfeatures or high weight waterfeature reservoirs as well as large underground water storage (in conjunction with Clearpond's range of pond liner), there are simply so many applications you can use Clearpond WaterQube products for!

Ideal for use under roads, paths and sidewalks for efficient underground transfer and storage of water the WaterQube product is made from 100% recycled polypropylene and is unaffected by mould, algae, soil borne chemicals, bacteria or bitumen.

The WaterQubes arrive flat packed and are quickly and easily assembled on site helping to reduce freights costs and like building blocks WaterQubes can be grouped together to build large water storage areas.

The WaterQube Storage Downspout Filter captures debris from roof water before going into the reservoir.

NOT JUST ONE!

New to the Clearpond range of pond products is Clearpond H2Blu - Concentrated Pond Dye. Pond dyes work on the light reduction principle, all plants need sunlight to grow, if the light is reduced than aquatic weeds and algae reduce in number, this is where H2Blu comes in. H2Blu is a non-toxic and harmless pond dye that dyes the water a pleasant blue colour which not only looks pretty but also inhibits weed and algal growth. The water can then be used for swimming in and irrigation once the product is dispersed. One 946ml bottle treats up to 3.75 million litres of water! It is available now.

We have just received new shipments of our Pietro by Clearpond range of water features and garden art and there are some absolutley stunning new pieces including the Niche and Taft fountains, the new "Dark Chocolate" colour on the features looks stunning and who doesn't love chocolate! As part of our on-going development of the Pietro by Clearpond range we have made a new sliding door to access the pump and reservoir easily on the Corinthian range (please see photo below). Be sure to check out the new features and colours!

Summer Tips!

GOING AWAY FOR CHRISTMAS HOLIDAYS! HERE ARE A FEW POND TIPS!

When you are going away on holiday, ensure that you do some maintenance before leaving; cleaning filters and pumps to ensure that there are no blockages is a great start!

Do not worry too much about feeding whilst you are away unless you are away for more than 2 weeks. If you are leaving a neighbour or friend in charge of feeding, try portioning out single feeds into small bags rather than just giving them free reign with the food. This way you know that your fish will not be getting overfed.

Having a neighbour or fish keeping friend keep an eye on your pond whilst you are away is a great idea, maybe also leave a phone number of a local friendly aquatics store just in case of emergencies as well.

Last of all make sure to keep any airpumps running, if you haven't got one, get one!

Should you come back from holiday and find your pump has stopped and if you have an external filter do not panic and flip on the pump, place the discharge from the filter onto the garden and then turn the pump on. When the filter is off for extended periods the bacteria dies, that combined with the fish waste in the filter forms a toxic mess, if this is pumped into the pond it will kill your fish. Flush the system through for a few minutes and do a partial water change (remember to use Clearpond Pond Start to remove the chlorine from the tap water when topping up) and then re-direct the discharge pipe from the filter back into the pond.
