Hello ,
Love can be such a
nebulous term. We often throw it around in our conversations. Let me give you a few examples:
"Oh, I just LOVE that dress!"
"I LOVE that new restaurant on the other
side of town!"
"I LOVE my new art class!"
See what I mean? Perhaps it's just because we haven't learned adequate terms for things that we enjoy, but sometimes
it almost feels like we've lost our understanding of what real love really is.
The scriptures say that God is love. Not merely that He loves, but that He IS love. He is love personified! Today, I want to challenge you to take 10 minutes and go to the gospel of John. I'm not going to post a link to a verse
today, because there's something about turning the pages that's special. Turn to John the third chapter and watch a story unfold between Jesus and a man name Nicodemus. The story carries on until verse 21.
Analyze what Jesus tells this powerful man who was asking so many questions. Christ is speaking about more
than a mere "like" for something. He's conveying the idea that all of Heaven is interested in what happens to the human race; and that LOVE is the great motivator!
