Hello ,

"Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee nor forsake thee.  So we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me."  Hebrews 13:5-6

Fear is a terrible feeling.  It can be debilitating and energy-draining.  I can't think of one time in my life when I have been fearful and happy at the same time.  Our Heavenly Father doesn't want us to feel this way, anymore than we want our children to have these feelings.

A pretty bold claim is given in the above passage of scripture. We're told that we don't have to be fearful, because the Creator of this universe has promised to be right there beside us.

My father was 6 feet tall, and when I was little he looked like a giant to me.  I can remember being afraid to walk by myself in the dark.  I told him of this fear one evening when he asked me to go to our little barn to grab a tool that he needed.  When I shared my trepidation, he didn't ridicule me or chuckle to himself in front of me. He simply responded, "Come on, I'll walk beside you."

While my Father was walking beside me I didn't feel one pang of fear all the way to the barn and back. He was merely a man. How much more should I trust my Heavenly Father who has promised to walk beside me all the days of my life?  Are you trusting God with your journey today?

Have a great day and God bless!
