Your Open Word e-Devotional for July 16th

Published: Sun, 07/16/17

Hello ,

So sorry for the late post today.  My wife and I are preparing to drop off my son Michael at the airport this afternoon.  He is going to be traveling to Panama on a fairly large-scale mission trip.  He will be directing a group of teens to pull off a Vacation Bible School in a small remote village there.  The picture above is one of his graduation photos.

"This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us."  1 John 5:14

Would you pray for my son over the few weeks as he travels to another country?  I don't take anything in this world for granted, and I covet your prayers for his safety, and for the people that he will bless (and that will bless him) as he follows God's leading.

Also, if YOU have anything that you would like ME to pray for, please send it my way.  I will be happy to lift your requests to the Lord.  I believe in the power of prayer, and tapping into that power is something that we should all avail ourselves to each and every day.  God loves us, and He never tired of hearing our requests.

Have a great day and God bless!
