Acts 10:34-44 (NASB)

{34}. Opening his mouth, Peter said:

"I most certainly understand now that God is not one to show partiality,

{35} but in every nation the man who fears Him and does what is right
is welcome to Him.

{36} "The word which He sent to the sons of Israel, preaching peace
through Jesus Christ ( He is Lord of all )-

{37} you yourself know the thing which took place throughout all
Judea, starting from Galilee, after the baptism which John proclaimed.

{38} " You know of Jesus of Nazareth, how God anointed Him with the
Holy Spirit and with power, and how He went about doing good
and healing all who were oppressed by the devil,
for God was with Him.

{39} "We are witnesses of all the things He did both in the land of the Jews
and in Jerusalem. They also put Him to death by hanging Him on a cross.

{40} "God raised Him up on the third day and granted that He become visible,

{41} not to all the people, but to witnesses who were chosen beforehand
by God, that is, to us who ate and drank with Him after He arose
from the dead.

{42} "And He ordered us to preach to the people, and solemnly to testify
that this is the One who has been appointed by God as Judge of
the living and the dead.

{43} " Of Him all the prophets bear witness that through His name
everyone who believes in Him receives forgiveness of sins."

{44} While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit
fell upon all those who were listening to the message.


Romans 8:14-31 (NASB)

Let the redeemed of the LORD say so! Amen-Hallelujah!
Praise God from whom all blessings flow. Be Strong and Courageous,
"Give thanks to the LORD, for His lovingkindness is everlasting."

{14}  For all who are being led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.

{15} For you have not received a spirit of slavery leading to fear again,
but you have received a spirit of adoption, as sons by which
we cry out, "Abba! Father!"

{16} The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are
children of God,

{17} and if children, heirs also, heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ,
if indeed we suffer with Him so that we may also be glorified with Him.

{18} For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy
to be compared with the glory that is to be revealed to us.

{19} For the anxious longing of the creation wait eagerly for the
revealing of the sons of God.

{20} For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly,
but because of Him who subjected it, in hope,

{21} that the creation itself also will be set free from its slavery
to corruption into the freedom of the glory of the children of God.

{22} For we know that the whole creation groans and suffers the pain
of childbirth together until now.

{23} And not only this, but also we ourselves, having the first fruits
of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting
eagerly for our adoption as sons, the redemption of our body.

{24} For in hope we have been saved, but hope that is seen is not
hope; for who hopes for what he already sees?

{25} But if we hope for what we do not see, with perseverance
we wait eagerly for it.

{26} In the same way the Spirit also helps our weakness; for we do not
know how to pray as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us
with groaning too deep for words;

{27} and He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the
Spirit is, because He intercedes for the saints according to
the will of God.

{28} And we know that God causes all things to work together
for good to those who love God, those who are called
according to His purpose.

{29} For those whom He foreknew, He also predestined to become
conformed to the image of His Son, so that He would be the firstborn
among many brethren;

{30} and these whom He predestined, He also called; and these
whom He called, He also justified; and these whom He justified,
He also glorified.

{31} What then shall we say to these things? If God is
for us, who is against us?
