Happy Autumn

Hi Everyone, I can't believe it's been 2 months since the last newsletter! Time has flown by and now we're into Autumn.

It's been a busy 3 months, as many of you are aware my beloved business partner Hayley Jones retired from practise in July and it's been all systems go since then. We, of course, miss her lots but Megan (our lovely Dispensary Manager) has stepped up to the plate and has been working hard to support me during a very busy time seeing patients. To keep you updated Hayley is doing really well and is enjoying being at home full time with her gorgeous son and we've been told that his first word was 'Mumma' so obviously caring for him full time has really paid off.

So what's next for Foreman and Jones? We're about to enter our 4th year in Hythe High St, so as an established practice we can continue to provide the best possible care for our patients. We are now getting many more referrals from GP's and our Food Intolerance Blood Testing has really taken off.
As you know we are passionate about helping people feel better in every way and we've recently had a number of practitioners join our team so we can expand the services we offer.

Now Offering - DrinkScan - The World's First Drink Intolerance Programme

Since offering the York Test Food Intolerance Testing we have been asked whether we also test for drinks as well and up until now the answer has always been NO!

Now York Test has launched Drink Scan and we are offering this service starting next week.

Leading medical charity Allergy UK have stated that up to 45% of the UK population are affected by reactions to ingredients in drinks not just in foods. Ingredients in coffee, teas, wines, beers, juices and smoothies all have the potential to cause intolerance symptoms. A drink intolerance is an adverse reaction to an ingredient present in something you're drinking, the reaction usually worsens the more of that drink you consume.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy now available at Foreman & Jones

We are pleased to now offer sessions with Cognitive Behavioural Psychologist -Paul Mousley.

Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) is a type of therapy that aims to help you manage your problems by changing how you think and act.

CBT encourages you to talk about:

  • how you think about yourself, the world and other people
  • how what you do affects your thoughts and feelings

By talking about these things, CBT can help you to change how you think ('cognitive') and what you do ('behaviour'), which can help you feel better about life.

CBT is thought to be one of the most effective treatments for anxiety and depression but Paul also treats patients suffering with -

Panic Attacks
Chronic Fatigue Syndrome
OCD
Anger
Chronic Pain
Bipolar Disorder
Sleep Disorders
Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
