Hi !
Welcome to this week's issue of Executive Insight.
Practice Makes Perfect
Earlier this year I conducted a behavioral sales program for a client. This week, we had a follow up conference call to answer questions, reinforce the content, and celebrate the successes.
I was truly impressed by how well everyone is integrating these sales techniques into their daily activities. Their success stories were inspirational, and you could hear the excitement as they shared their victories.
Two observations stand out vividly from this call: preparation and practice.
The most conscientious of the group are diligent about preparing for their sales calls. They think through and evaluate the points that they want to make. They carefully craft their message, matching it with their clients' communication styles.
They also critically assess their effectiveness at these meetings, and make notes about how to be even more successful the next time.
They practice in order to master these skills. They rehearse with friends, family and co-workers to become more comfortable and confident.
This company is fortunate to have such a passionate group of sales professionals. They embraced the opportunity to learn something new, and it's paying off. They are more self-assured in their work, and have the sales to show for it.
Doesn't it feel great when you learn something new and adapt it successfully? I hope you have many opportunities to do the same in your business.
Have a great week!
