Executive Insight
Tip of the Week

Hi !

Welcome to this week's issue of Executive Insight.

That Good Old "Back to School" Feeling

Even though we have a few more weeks of summer, Labor Day weekend in the U.S. always seems to mark a shift in perspective. I think of it as the "back to school" feeling, a fresh start to the fall season.

What does "back to school" mean to you? Do you think about new, freshly sharpened pencils...or a new lunchbox...some new clothes....excitement about seeing friends who you didn't see during the summer?

You can capture that "back to school" feeling and apply it to "back to business." So think about what you can do to denote a fresh start next week.

The following few days are good ones to prepare your "back to business" lists: clients to call, prospects to contact, new projects to discuss with your employees, a renewed commitment to clean out your email inbox - you get the idea.

Although doing this is great for business, it's especially good for you. You'll feel energized and excited, and that sentiment is passed on to everyone you interact with.

Since the week after Labor Day signifies the same thing to almost everyone, take advantage of this "meme." Recharge your batteries over the long weekend and return on Tuesday ready to jump into your work with gusto.

Enjoy the long weekend, and have a great week ahead!
