Hi
One of the major things we all seem to be suffering from at the present time is INFORMATION OVERLOAD.
I don't know about you, but my email box is being filled up with
all sorts of offers to buy, download free products and reports and much
more. To make matters worse, a friend must have a virus in her computer
and I receive about 600 emails every day telling me to eat aspirin! (At
least, I used to - now I've programmed my email server to put them in
the delete box.)
I am on an economy drive and unsubscribing as fast as the emails
come in. All this information is crowding my mind and so I have decided
to just filter it to valuable information.
One of the primary things I have been re-learning recently, is the
necessity to FOCUS. If we are all over the place, we achieve little (if
anything).
That's true in our spiritual lives too. There is so much going on,
but when we start to FOCUS on Jesus and His Word everything else falls
into place. It's not about programmes, or people - but it's all about
HIM. The Giver, not the gift - the Provider, not the provision -
personal fellowship with the Lord - not religion and ritual - the Word,
not teaching about the Word.
I am busy "planting" a new ministry on the internet - The Internet
Church - and I trust it will be a blessing to many who are looking for
an oasis in the Internet Jungle. You'll find it at
www.theinternetchurch.com.
Although it is not officially open yet, you are welcome to visit
and join up as a member (no charge). There is a chat room online where
you may share prayer requests and testimonies and I believe it is going
to prove a blessing to many. For now, its still under construction and I
would love to hear your comments.
Blessings!
Val
P.S. I hope you consider my occasional comments worth staying subscribed!)
