PROFILE: Black Hebrew Israelites - Racist, Cultic, or the Lost Tribes of Israel?

Good morning ,

Here is your free copy of our most recent 4-page Profile on the Black Hebrew Israelite Movement. This controversial religion teaches a form of “replacement theology” identifying biblical Israel as racially corresponding to black people — particularly those whose ancestors were victims of institutionalized slavery.Free 4-page Profile: Black Hebrew Israelites Movement

In effect, today’s Jewish or Israelite people are replaced with blacks who, as a race of people, are then identified as the true “lost tribes” of Israel. Therefore, they alone are heirs to all of the Old Testament promises as God’s “chosen people” and salvation comes exclusively through them.

While claiming to be compatible with the teachings of Jesus, their racist theology suggests that it is difficult if not impossible for non-blacks to be saved. In addition, they deny the doctrine of the Trinity and teach salvation by keeping the law rather than by grace through faith in Christ alone.
