Hi there ,

It's a beautiful sunny day as I write this to you. But while I'm enjoying a few days of English summer, other people I work with are in the middle of winter. It's just one of the differences you get used to when you work with virtual teams.

This note has a couple of updates for those of you that need to work with others who are far away. If this describes you, read on!

Virtual Working Summit

I'm running something a bit different that could be very useful for you.  It's the Virtual Working Summit. The whole idea is that it is virtual, so you don't need to travel to join in and hear some fantastic speakers, from David Sibbet to the Lazy Project Manager, and me.

People last year described the Summit as 'a wonderful learning experience', 'outstanding' and 'excellent'.

Reserve your spot here. Remember, it's fr*e*e to register and listen in online.

Hope to "see" you at the summit!

Seven Secrets of Successful Virtual Working

Despite having the last slot on the last day of the recent PMI Global Congress in Dublin, I had 193 people registered to attend!
Here's what Gantthead.com had to say about my session: in the first and second blog

If you'd like a copy of my PMI paper, please reply with the subject
"PMI Paper" and I'll send you a copy.

All the best,
Penny

More about these tips.
This briefing comes out every three or four weeks, sent to
at . If it isn't your own copy, sign up now here.
I aim to to give you proven ideas and tools to try out on your projects, all in under four minutes reading time. Please forward it to people who would find this useful.  If you ever want to unsubscribe, then just click the link at the end of this briefing.

Would these tips help your colleagues?
If so, please let them know about them!  They can join by signing up
here. They'll receive my bonus report as well: "12 1/2 ways to make your meetings work for you". I keep hearing how this has helped people make their meetings and workshops more effective (and usually a bit shorter too!)

News:

Penny's book 'A Short Guide to Facilitating Risk Management', co-authored with Ruth Murray-Webster, has been printed and is available to pre-order now. More next time about the book launch. You're invited!
