Welcome to the September Put Old on Hold Journal Sent Friday, September 2, 2011 View as plaintext
Hi Everyone,

Happy Labor Day! Welcome to the September Put Old on Hold Journal. I can't believe the year is almost over. It must be because Costco is selling Christmas stuff!

In this issue:

Are You "old"? If so, you are probably stupid

I'm steaming. Myrtle Rose, 75, piloted her plane into restricted air space during a presidential visit which started a barrage of nasty name-calling because of her "old age." Her offense was that she didn't have her radio on to hear incoming calls. Her story is important for all "old" people (you can define "old" for yourself) who dare to ignore chronological age and do what they are capable of doing. If you are an "old" person who can still do what you've always done, beware - if you make a misstep, you are fair game for the "old people haters". Remember that in some precincts, "old" is age forty. Read her story and leave a comment about what you think.

Want to know more about bio-identical hormone replacement?

Dr. Bronner Handerwerger has a very informative video for you to watch. Dr. Bronner has made many informative videos and some of them will be available here. He's a great teacher. Please take a look. You can also leave a question for him.

Know-It-All Sisters

The KIA Sisters are more insightful than a Tarot card reader.  This month a reader fed up with the "medical machine" asked the Sisters how to deal with it. If you are also fed up with the "medical machine" or have any other weighty problem, tell the KIA Sisters about it. Please use the comment box at the end of their article (assuming it's there!).

Telomeres - Key to Anti-Aging?

There is a lot of research going on looking at the association of telomere length with aging.  Telomeres are found on the tips of chromosomes and there appears to be a lot of evidence suggesting that people with shortened telomeres have a higher incidence of heart attacks and cancer. Dr. Michael Platt is up-to-date on the subject -- please read his article.

Lots of other goodies - please take a look!
