Transferring Colleges: The Real Costs
Every year it happens. Players who are looking to transfer hit the informal coaching neural network and coaches will feverishly work to get the scoop. The Underground Gossip channels are full of chatter. It happens at the end of every college volleyball season around November and December.
I realize that transfers are inevitable. I'm not a pie-in-the-sky hippy who believes that we can make a world where they do not exist. I do believe though that if more work was done on the front end, that we could reduce the percentages significantly.

The cost of transferring is more substantial than you think. Clearly you will lose some time ...some money ...and some opportunities but those costs are greater and more far-reaching than you can imagine.
