2013 Feng Shui Forecast, Year of the Snake is Now on
Issue No. 10, March 6, 2013
Last week I went to Houston and had a great time meeting some fabulous ladies at
the Texas Yoga Conference. It was a good trip, too, because I went on a major
buying spree. We're working hard to replenish our shelves -- including those
wealth bowl kits. Hang tight because they're coming.
One of my favorite readers asked me recently how she could
make more money. She said that while she's grateful that the unexpected expenses
are covered, but she's frustrated that they can't seem to get a leg up -- to have
enough money to take a vacation or go to Disneyworld with the kids, that kind of
thing that you only do when there's a little extra at the end of the month.
When Tim and I got married, it seemed like every time we got
an extra $500 or $1000, within a week the car needed a full set tires, brakes,
the house needed a new water heater or the A/C went out. It never failed.
But our minds were living paycheck to paycheck. Once we re-focused on
making more -- and applying feng shui -- that's when the magic happened. I
kid you not, but.....
....Tim and I were at odds.
I said we could create a life of abundance, and Tim was
resistant (he is a scientist after all and wants me to "prove it!" -- and he
also insisted that I write about this!). I asked him to just consider what wecould do, and we went to visit some friends of ours who ran their own
business from their house on Bald Head Island, North Carolina. It was a nice
Their home was aptly named "Abundance." How's that for
Once we were there, our field of vision opened up, and more
importantly, Tim's mind became focused on what was possible and how we could
take ownership of our lives and finances.
At that point, we came back and created a plan together and
joined this up with feng shui. It was a turning point in our finances, our
lives, and, well, Tim's mindset...and our marriage and who we were. Our lives
became about what was possible, instead of impossible.
I also refocused my efforts on feng shui.
I focused on feng shuiprecision
-- on annual energies, on exactitude -- and it supported us and our new mindset
My job became so busy and I was frequently promoted, making the company I worked
for dependent on
me. Tim's positions rose with prominence as he changed from science to sales,
making those uncomfortable steps forward -- but with faith. I find that the
trinity of luck is your efforts, your mindset and feng shui. When they work
together, that's what creates the magic.
Now, when you're ready to be more precise about your feng
shui, make sure you use the right compass and not a smart
phone compass. You can read about my experiences

You don't want to miss this!
So, today's Feature Article is about precision and feng shui.
The rest -- the big decisions, being open to possibilities,
the choices you make and the willingness to make
changes in your life -- are up to you. BUT -- when you make those efforts and you
combine them with feng shui, that's when the extra $1000 goes
in your pocket month after month.
I hope you like today's Feature Article -- there's lots of
examples to help you with your own home's feng shui.
Ever wonder why you're working so hard at feng shui and it's not working for
Maybe it's because feng shui often works like a radio.
When you're trying to
listen to 105.2 tuning the dial to 105.3 or 105 might pick up the station, but
it won't come in clearly, if at all, or it will have a lot of static.
Feng shui sometimes relies on precision.
That's why it pays to be able to place your cures and activators accurately. But
how do you do that?
You may think you're putting an activator or a cure in the exact north corner of
your living room only to find out it's the northeast or northwest.
Not long ago, I did a quick diagnosis for a client who was looking for a job.
When I noticed that he had a large ficus tree smack
on the southwest line in his home, which was his personal success direction, we
removed it immediately and he got a call about a job that day. The ficus tree
being of the wood element destroys the earth element of the southwest, so his
progress was blocked.
As if that weren't enough, he also had a ficus tree in the north career corner
(water element) of his office - and what does wood do? - blocked all his efforts
at generating income (read: landing a job).
Because the north corner of his office was the lucky corner, we added lights to
his tree to "destroy" the wood energy. He received two very lucrative offers and
is in the process of accepting one.
In my own home, I have a tree in the east corner of
my living room, which is typically a good thing, but this year, the excess wood
can cause problems for the family and the oldest son. My husband also had a tree
in his office in the north corner. We've added lights to both trees and some of
the snags we were experiencing smoothed out.
I encourage you to take your floor plan and draw the pie chart over your floor
plan to fully understand how your feng shui is playing out.
This is a good way
to do a diagnosis of problems in your life. It's also a great way to ACTIVATE
your feng shui too! I recommend that you use it to place your annual feng shui
placements of cures and activators for the best possible outcomes.
Here's a rundown on the eight directions: 0° North
HOW TO START: Notice the diagrams that follow below.
First Step: Using your home's floor plan, and draw the lo shu square over it.
Draw an X from one corner to the next. Notice the hand-drawn lo shu square in
the living room. You might want to do this on your diagram as well.
Second Step: Identify the 0° north - 180° south line. You can do this by
finding the direction your house faces or by standing in the center of our home
and looking for the north south line. Next mark the 90° east -
270° west line. Try to use a traditional magnetic compass for this. Drawing an X
this way also helps you identify the exact center of your house, too.
Tough Feng Shui is Correctable.
But don't take my word for it.

"On the next rainy day, I'll..." We all say it. But when those showers actually
arrive, we often forget our promises.
If Mother Nature leaves you trapped indoors, use the time to some redecorating.
During good weather, purchase needed supplies so you'll be ready to beautify
your home when the rain begins.
A FIXTURE FIX
One of the fastest ways to perk up your decorating is by changing fixtures,
including everything from chandeliers to plumbing fixtures. If you're handy, you
can easily switch out dated lighting fixtures. Changing plumbing fixtures goes
fast, too, if you have the tools.
Replacing old fixtures can really freshen up a bathroom, and possibly even save
you money on water. Switch out your shower head for a low-flow option. If this
is too complicated, other decorating changes that don't require as much DIY
experience include replacing cabinet pulls and door knobs. Door knobs are a fast
update and can be replaced quickly with a simple electric screwdriver. Try
replacing old-fashioned round knobs with contemporary lever style models.... ........Continue
