New RTV TXT Connect Program

RTV is proud to announce our new RTV TXT Connect program. RTV TXT Connect is an all new mobile marketing service that uses SMS ("text messaging") technology to make property info instantly available on mobile phones and yields lead generation for real estate agents. This new technology now allows all RTV virtual tour providers both In-House and Full Service, to access this exciting new technology.

"Text messaging" is the fastest growing form of communication.  RTV is very excited to offer this unique and powerful marketing tool to all participating RTV dealers at a very low cost. The RTV TXT Connect mobile marketing service will be  available 24/7 and works by instantly responding to requests for detailed property information from potential buyers. The agent simply adds a sign rider with a property identification code and a short code to their For Sale sign. The cell phone user sends a text message such as "prop123" to the advertised code "25665" (ie: sign rider would show - Text "prop123" to "25665") and within seconds the RTV TXT Connect delivers detailed property information to their cell phone. The agent controls the information in the download which can include prices, features, and direct web links to photos, as well as, agent contact information.

If you would like to learn more about this exciting technology please join us on TUESDAY August 4th, 2009 at 7pm EST while Jason LaVanture and special guests Daniel Lee (RTV Dealer), John Gallinaugh & Brian Perry unveil the all new RTV TXT Connect program.

Find out how Daniel Lee, a fellow RTV Dealer has sold this technology to over 6000 real estate agents!

Texting 101

For some of you texting is old news, for others it is an unknown new marketing tool and a way to connect to others that deserves to be explored.  The very first text  sent was in 1989.  The message consisted of upside down numbers that could then be read as words and went from New York City to Melbourne Beach, Florida.  The technology has made massive advances since then.  What is texting anyway?  Texting refers to a exchange of brief written messages between mobile phones using cellular networks.   Typically, the term refers to messages sent using the Short Message Service or SMS.  As technology has changed the term has evolved to now include messages that contain images, video, and sound.  Today 35% of all mobile phone users worldwide, 4.2 million people, are active users of the SMS system.  That makes text messaging the most widely used mobile data service.  According to Wikipedia, text messages are now being used for "real-world" services, for example, some vending machines now allow payment by sending a premium-rated short message.  The cost of the item is then deducted from a prepaid account or added to the user's phone bill.  Quickly texting has moved beyond  person to person communication to become a powerful marketing tool.  Check out the site below to learn the most common text messaging abbreviations.

 Focus on the Next Turn

Life is fast paced.  Things are constantly changing and things constantly need to be done.  One thing that won't change is the amount of time during the day.  That is a fixed component that somehow will never seem to be quite enough.  In response to the numerous demands placed on us each day, we have become a nation of multi-taskers.  In reality, this method isn't making us more productive.  Without the focus and attention given solely to one task people tend to make more mistakes, feel more overwhelmed, and the final product is less than par. Mike Michalowicz, author of the Toilet Paper Entrepreneur, has a simple solution to help boost productivity in all that you do.  He shares that in Skip Barber's car racing school, drivers are trained to focus exclusively on the next turn while the car is still piloting the current one. This method allows drivers to navigate the course at top speeds.  Implement this into your workday and even home life and you will see things change.  If you want to increase your productivity, focus solely on the next thing to do.  What do you need to do next?
