Be my Valentine
I wonder who is getting a love letter this Valentine's
Day? Are you in a romantic
relationship? I am
and it is with myself. I realize I am the candy,
the sweet, the treasured heart. I am it I have got it.
How long did it take me to come to that understanding
forever. Not the forever my
love we
often get on our Valentine's cards but the forever understanding of having a
love affair with me.
I talk with God all the time and tell Him He is my beloved
father and ask Him to help
show me the way every day with all the roles He
plays in my life. This relationship
taught me that I am loved all the time. I don't have to go out looking or seeking love
for it is there. It is always there.
When I love myself I am able to express my love to others
without being affected by
how they respond back to me. I don't let their actions affect my
sense of worth. I am
grounded in truth
knowing I am the chocolate. Valentine's
chocolates can be messy,
melt, make you have a taste for more, or you may never
want to eat it again but
doesn't that somehow describe the journey we have in
our life?
The famous line from the movie Forest Gump Forest says "life
is like a box of
chocolates you never know what you are going to get." but you
do have a choice
on how you react, what
you believe and how you feel. You may
count how many
chocolates you have left to eat or how many you already eaten
but do you count on
God?
So if you feel left out or forgotten by your earthly love
remember God hasn't forgotten
you. If
you know that in your mind and let it move down and feel it in your heart
you
will align with love. Whether you
choose to eat the chocolate savoring each bite
or choose to pass on it remember
your life is meant to be savored each and every day.
Happy Valentines Day my dear one!
