What
a Launch!
What
an amazing week! Welcome to all the lovely people that took
part in the launch and collected some amazing goodies. If you
missed out, make sure you visit The SWW Launch Page here.
Some people missed out due to computer gremlins - technology!
We also experienced broken
bonus links plus additional bonuses were
added - mid-launch.
So I've extended
the launch offer until COB Tuesday 23 June. If
you know anyone that missed out MAKE
SURE YOU TELL THEM right now and send them this link.
If you tried a link and it was broken, please revisit it and
also take a look at the new inclusions. Stay tuned as we'll
be drawing the prize winners soon. The winners will be
announced in a future newsletter.
If you love the
newsletter, please forward
it to a least two other women who you know would benefit.

Wendy's
Week
Another
busy week. Monday I joined Lynsdey Baigent for the Essentially for Women Winners Circle,
where I gave a live demonstration on how to get all your Social Media
sites (Twitter, Facebook, YouTube) easily talking to one another -
automatically! We're doing it again this Wednesday in
Brisbane so come along if you can. Further
details here.
Next,
another brilliant Red
Tent Event on Wednesday night to hear Ben Angel give us some
great advice on dressing for success. I'm the July speaker
and we'll be talking all about Twitter and Facebook. Grab
your spot here as there is limited seating at the venue.
I rounded
off the week with the Women's Network Australia lunch in Melbourne.
Read my article in the latest Working Women magazine here.
Until next week,
happy surfing!

How
to use Facebook for Business Success
Set it up
the right way. In creating your profile, provide specific
information including your website urls and how best to contact you
(email, via your website, phone numbers). Include a happy, engaging
photo of yourself and add videos if you'd like to spark
people’s interest in you and your business. You can also
choose to join a group which is
in the same category as yours.
Announce your presence. Make sure that you
invite friends and colleagues to visit you on Facebook. The invitation
should not only be limited to those already in Facebook. Cast
your net wider and invite those who are not yet members.
Facebook actually
enables you to send group invitations to your contacts in your other
email accounts.
Regularly update your profile. People always
want fresh information about the person or group of people
they’re
interested in so they can get to know them better.
It will also help them to understand what you do and
the products
and services that you offer and helps establish you as an
expert in your field. For this reason, updating your
information, including
photos, adding informative videos, linking your blog and creating notes
is essential.
Make friends first. As you start getting
involved in Facebook, first of all establish
relationships with friends and your friends’ friends.
As they get to know, like and trust you, if what you offer
interests them you may eventually convert them into your
customers or even business partners.
Avoid advertising your business. Where
possible,
do not try to promote your business unless asked. No one likes to be
sold to.
Take advantage of the news feed. Facebook has
a powerful feature that you can utilize to the benefit of your
business. The
news feed allows members to announce their activities and share their
recent experiences. This is where you can share
information about your business such as articles about your products
and services, upcoming teleseminars you'll be hosting and even events
you may be running.

Minutes with...
Wendy Lacey from Colour

Question 1
What
has been your biggest challenge in business and how did you overcome it?
Remaining focused in the face of adversity - being a single mum and
relocating to a different state has been disruptive. Getting organized
and having the basics in place so that I could focus and be productive
was the bottom line.
Question
2 If
you had to start your business again from scratch, what would you do
differently?
I would
have a very clear outline of a plan of action and deadlines that I
would hold myself accountable to.
Question
3 Who
do you admire and why?
Richard Branson
for sheer innovation and the ability to enjoy the process with
child-like abandon. Deepak Chopra for opening our minds and touching
our hearts as he effortlessly and eloquently conveys the message of
quantum physics.
Susan Sarandon for proving that women can have careers and raise a
family and that age is but a number.
Question
4 It
takes a lot of determination and dedication to succeed in
business. What keeps you motivated?
A sheer love for
the work I do – I even forget to be tired and hungry! To know
that my
work makes a difference in people’s lives. Achieving
financial
independence in order to spend more time with my children and to do
what I want to do, when I want to do it.
Question
5 What
are your 3 biggest success tips?
- Don’t be Superwoman - find your
‘’team’’ of
outstanding people to support you and learn to trust them and
then…….dare I say it - delegate!
- Toss the rule book out of the window and trust your
gut feel.
- Love the work you do but remember that life is not
all work and no play so make time to indulge yourself and restore
equilibrium – all it takes sometimes is coffee and a catchup
with a
friend.
Tell us about Wendy...
I strongly believe
that our environments have great impact on us psychologically. My
Styling work is about improving peoples living spaces because their
home is their sanctuary or because they are selling and wish to achieve
the maximum price for their homes. I work with the contents of the home
making it an affordable exercise.
