Anna Colella of Recruit Safe

Question 1

What has been your biggest challenge in business and how did you overcome it?

My biggest challenge in business was actually having the courage to start my own business. It was daunting thinking I'm doing this all on my own.

But being determined and believing in myself I put the wheels in motion and realized I was not alone, I had a lot of support, encouragement and help from family, friends, industry colleagues and acquaintances.

Question 2

If you had to start your business again from scratch, what would you do differently?

I would employ staff (that share the same vision as me for the company) to help me sooner, delegate and outsource tasks that I don't enjoy or that I'm not great at but that have to be done. Focusing on the tasks that I enjoy, do best and that I'm passionate about to provide a quality service and grow my business!

Question 3

Who do you admire and why?

Richard Branson because he followed his dreams and aspirations from a very young age and never gave up.

He always had faith, believed in himself and that anything can be done, this enabled him to overcome many obstacles to be where he is today a highly successful global icon and the lord of all entrepreneurs!

Question 4

If takes a lot of determination and dedication to succeed in business.  What keeps you motivated?

Success - I'm not just talking about monetary or career success. I am motivated and satisfied when I succeed in what I set out to achieve, proving to myself that anything can be achieved when I believe in me and my abilities.

I continuously strive to succeed by always striving to improve and deliver on my promise to the best of my abilities as a mother, wife and savvy business woman!

Question 5

What are your 3 biggest success tips?

  1. Knowledge - Knowledge is power, know your product/service "walk the talk".
  2. Belief & Passion - Believe in your product/service, you cannot sell something you don't believe in or provide a service that you are not passionate about.
  3. Be Yourself (be Genuine) - Do not try to be something you are not. If you can't provide a product/ service don't be afraid to admit it (you can't be all things to everyone). If you can't help someone, perhaps you can point them in the direction of someone who can. The universe will reward you when you help others.
