Five Minutes with... Helenmary Burnside of Artists on the MoveQuestion 1 What
has
been your biggest challenge in business and how did you overcome it?
Working on my business as well as in my business and realizing that as
an artist I am a business.Because I
am an artist and every product that I produce is made by
hand and by me, it is time consuming, but in this time of websites,
emails and mobile phones I also have to put lots of time into those
things as well, creating a website is fantastic but it is a lot of time
and
thought for an artist to set it up and keep current.
Even if someone else puts it together, I still have to write the words and think through the processes of how I created a piece and what materials that I used and the motivation behind the creation. I am learning how to delegate these things.
Question
2 Absolutely not, I have reinvented myself within my passion as an artist many times. Jewellery artisan, poet, sculpture and I will do it again and again. Question 3 Who
do
you admire and why?
Question 4 It
takes
a lot of determination and dedication to succeed in business. What keeps
you motivated?
I am luck I have a natural drive to keep going, not to over achieve but
to
have another and another go.I
I also have no fear of failure at all. I don't
see something not working or the plan not coming together as failure.
Just dust yourself off and do something else.
Question 5 What
are
your 3 biggest success tips?
Tell us about Helenmary...

complicated artistic creature,
constantly reinventing herself to achieve the utmost in her creative
endeavours from fashion designer to qualified chef, then to tertiary

She defines herself, through the expression of her greatest
pleasure in life.....ARTISTIC JEWELLERY.
Helenmary has exhibited successfully in Adelaide, Coolum, and Melbourne. She has sold works through out Australia and all around the world and has been commissioned to create pieces for many private clients, including international pop divas. Her pieces are combinations of colour, texture and design. They feature semi-precious stones, pearls, silver and other materials from all corners of the globe. Each creation is imagined, researched, developed and drafted. And only after exhaustive studies is the work deemed to be complete. Need
