How
to Write for the Internet
The internet is
undoubtedly one of the best avenues of communication
these
days. With its global reach, it has connected people from all over the
world regardless of age, race and religious beliefs. In fact, most people now use
the internet in searching for important information on just about
anything they want to know - be it useful information,
products or
services.
Content plays a key role in helping web users find the information they
need. Since most users are busy people - professionals,
business
women and
students, short and easy to read content is ideal for them.
Studies
have found that people who surf the internet do not actually read
the details in full, but rather scan information. In addition,
people tend to
read from computer screens 25 percent slower than when they read on
paper.
So if you're a person
who wants
to write for the web whether for websites, blogs or article submission
sites, keep your articles and posts concise and interesting to read.
Your goal should be to share new ideas and information with people and
attract as many readers as possible. For articles, sticking to a word
count of 400 to 500 is optimal.
First, think of a topic that you are comfortable writing about. It
should be something that you know very well and that which you can
expand without much difficulty. For instance, if you're offering
children's books or baby toys on your site, you can write about the
most popular
fairy tales or the most ideal toys for babies.
Next, write as if you are just talking to somebody. In other
words, use
simple English and sentences that can be easily understood by your
readers. Remember that web users just scan information so
make reading and understanding your article a pleasant
experience
for them.
Write in a conversational and informal style to attract readers.
Get straight to the point when writing your
articles. When writing for the internet, use the inverted pyramid
style.
In other words, keep important information in the first part of the
body instead of putting it in the latter part. Sometimes, providing a
summary at the topmost part after your title is helpful in capturing
your readers' attention and keeping their interest.
You want
them to keep reading down the page.
Write your article in an interesting way as much as possible.
Readers generally shy away from serious posts but are more interested
in articles
written in a light and engaging manner. Providing catchy titles as well
as updated and objective information is just one way of grabbing the
attention of your readers.

Five
Minutes with...
Fabe
Keily
of What
Women Want Wealth Creation
Question
1 What
has been your biggest challenge in business and how did you overcome it?
Our biggest challenge has been getting known for Who we are and What we
do. We overcame this by creating a unique point of difference and being
the first in Australia to run our Seminars on the "Pay it
Forward"
concept. We committed to running our Events for the first 12 months at
only $5 per person. Our Events are fully catered, awesome speakers,
great goodies bags, F.REE ticket for partner / spouse. This has created
an enormous amount of recognition and respect in an Industry that does
not do this sort of thing!
Question
2 If
you had to start your business again from scratch, what would you do
differently?
I'm not sure I would do anything differently, as the first 12
months
for anyone in Business can be quite challenging. You start off very
enthusiastic, positive, ready to take on the world expecting everything
you put in place to work, however you need to be flexible to change as
the market changes and be creative to come up with ideas that will make
your Business stand out amongst the crowd!
Question
3 Who
do you admire and why?
People who "Pay it Forward". People who are willing
to sacrifice to
help someone not for their own benefit, but for the benefit of the
other person!
Question
4 It
takes a lot of determination and dedication to succeed in business.
What keeps you motivated?
My passion is empowering people to Breakthrough and Achieve their
Dreams. We are all different and we all have different dreams. Some
will be financial, some will be relational, some will be personal. What
keeps me motivated is the hundreds of testimonies that come back saying
what a difference we've made in their lives! This is the best
reward
ever!
Question
5 What
are your 3 biggest success tips?
-
Know WHY you are in Business. Keep this in mind at ALL times, and judge
your success by that. (everyone is in Business to make money, however I
believe it has to be more than that) E.g. When we started our Mission
statement was to "Equip, Motivate & Inspire Women to
Create
Wealth in All areas of their life". When we got to the end of
the
Seminar we could without a doubt say we were amazingly successful
regardless of the finances.
- Stay FOCUSED. Things may come along to distract you.
Identify your core business and don't get sidetracked onto
other things
that will take your Focus off what you originally set out to achieve.
E.g. When we started out, to help out with the financial side of
things, we got sidetracked into looking at things to help boost our
cashflow. This meant getting caught up in stocking and sending product,
however our core Business is Education. While we are working on our own
products, these are now educational products that fit in with our main
focus.
-
Be careful what you SAY. I believe our words have creative power either
for positive or negative. We need to be careful that we are saying is
helping create a positive environment for us to be successful, not a
negative environment which will mean that things take twice as long to
happen and it is a painful process rather than an enjoyable. This is
not always an easy thing to do, especially when things are
challenging.....however it is possible. I truly believe that happiness
is a journey, not a destination - so why not choose to enjoy
the
journey!
Tell us about Fabe...
Hi...we run
seminars around the world that Change Lives! Our 2 day Events Empower
YOU to Breakthrough and Achieve YOUR Dreams. We run them on the

Forward" concept which simply means that our 2 day events are

charge only $47 with a 100% Money Back Guarantee. So what have you got
