Question 1
What
has
been your biggest challenge in business and how did you overcome it?
The biggest challenge
for me has
been in nailing down my target market. In the
beginning I didn't realize how important this really was and as a
result I created a
lot of products that nobody wanted, except me!
Question
2 If
you
had to start your business again from scratch, what would you
do differently?
Question
3
Get a mentor
much earlier on to help me work on my target market and niche as
this is a really fundamental step when you're trying to create a
business from the
ground up.
Who
do
you admire and why?
I really admire those
people who have taken
huge leaps of faith to step out
of their comfort zones and do something they were passionate about,
rather
than what was expected of them. This is about overcoming that big fear
of the
unknown and having the courage and fortitude to do something different.
Question
4
It
takes
a lot of determination and dedication to succeed in business. What keeps
you motivated?
I am very focused
on my vision and what I'm trying to create. I have absolute
belief in it and what keeps me motivated is that I set goals, both big
and small
and when I achieve them, I make sure I acknowledge what I've achieved.
I have
my goals in a place where I can see them every day and I make sure that
I also
regularly acknowledge that I have consciously chosen this path, even
though
sometimes it might be challenging!
Question
5
What
are
your 3 biggest success tips?
- Find a mentor or coach as early on as possible if you
are planning to start
a business from the ground up. You need the advice and guidance of
someone who has been there before, otherwise it will take you 10 times
longer to get there.
- Set goals and reward yourself for your achievements,
otherwise you'll
burn yourself out and there won't be any enjoyment left in it.
- Understand the number one problem that your market
face so that you
can tailor solutions specifically to meet their needs.
