Seasonal allergies messing with your skin?
It's all too common to see dehydration with the use of allergy medicines at this time of year. Spring can be breathtakingly beautiful but all too painful for some with moderate to severe allergy symptoms. Even if you don't take medication for your seasonal allergies, you can suffer from skin issues and irritations.
Swelling of the eyes can continue to affect them even after the swelling has gone down. Stress on that delicate tissue can lead to red, irritated and flaky skin. Treat it tenderly with ZERO harsh rubbing and use a creamy mask like our Collagen Infusion Mask. For a quick home remedy, brew some green or chamomile tea, keep it in a closed container in the refrigerator, dip cotton pads in the tea, squeeze out excess and lay those pads on your irritated peepers for some cool, soothing relief.
Tissues have improved over the last decade. Instead of desert dry, sandpaper-like toilet paper, our noses get pampered with lotion and overall softer tissue. Excessive sneezing and nose blowing can still cause irritation. Try some Aquaphor several times a day, applied in a thin layer. Also, our Tension Relief Balm has a double duty and will open up clogged sinuses with its peppermint power. Apply a small amount to your temples or the back of your neck for quick relief.
Tight and itchy skin on the face can cause you to scratch and create further irritation or even pain. Treat your skin to a creamy mask chock full of anti-oxidants like our Nourishing Anti-Oxidant Mask. Or use some aloe vera gel for cool relief.
Internally, beef up your antioxidants. Smoothies with blueberries, strawberries or blackberries not only give you energy, but help your skin with great nutrients!

An internal boost of antioxidants not only helps you have beautiful skin but can offer protection from harmful UV rays. For other tips on Sun Safety, read what The American Academy of Dermatology has to say.
